Replay 2011 - Mark & Elise

We attended the 2011 edition of the Replay event in Blackpool (UK). We had a fantastic weekend. Here is our footage.

This is the 720p footage as YouTube does wonders (NOT) with darker footage at lower resolutions. Do check out the videos our friends made too!

Replay 2011 - day 1 - Teaser

Had an amazing day at the Norbreck hotel at Replay 2011. Met a lot of great people and the atmosphere was just awesome! And it is happening again tomorrow!

Retro geek heaven this is! I'll be going again in 2012 - it will be held in Manchester city a few weeks earlier even!

VCF East 6.0, September 12-13 at the InfoAge Science Center - Wall, New Jersey

Sadly, I can't make it this year, but it sounds like it will be a blast. The official announcement:

[BEGIN]This year's Vintage Computer Festival East will be held September 12-13 at the InfoAge Science Center located in Wall, New Jersey. VCF is a public event celebrating the history of computers from the 1940s - 1980s. The morning schedule is for lectures and workshops; the afternoons are an open exhibit hall where everything is turned on and working.

Among this year's highlights are the keynote address about RCA computers in the 1950s, an 8-bit musical concert, BASIC programming challenge, and the build-your-own terminal workshop. Details are posted athttp://www.vintage.org/2009/east/ where you'll also find the latest VCF news. A 2-minute video montage of last year's show is on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mNXrKjiD78. Or refer to the simple event brochure athttp://www.vintage.org/2009/east/vcfe6.pdf .... tickets are $10 for one day or $15 for both days; 17 and younger get in free.

The event benefits the InfoAge Science Center, which is a 501c3 non-profit.[END]

Photos from VCF East 4.0 2007 - Saturday Session - Vintage Computers and Commodore Engineers

Chuck Peddle on the Big Screen: VCF East 4.0 2007Well, I finally got around to posting the VCF East 4.0 2007 photos from the Saturday session on June 9, 2007. Unfortunately I was not able to find a single online photo sharing service (since I didn't want to kill bandwidth here at AA or on my personal Website) that met all of my needs, but Flickr took care of the album part of it all and Photobucket took care of the easily-embed-photos-on-here part (though I doubt I'll use it much as it's a lot of work to get it to display right).

Check out the full set of photos here. I'm still working with Bill Degnan of the MARCH club on getting the audio hosted, so hopefully I'll have that back up soon and easily accessible. Enjoy and don't forget to leave your comments here!

Reminder: Fourth Annual Vintage Computer Festival this weekend in New Jersey

This is just a reminder that VCF East 4.0 will be held this coming weekend in Wall Township, New Jersey. There will be talks with some past Commodore greats from around the PET era, plenty of displays and a flea market. I'm going to try and make the Saturday session if all goes well.
