Featuring hardcore nerdcore rapping about such diverse topics as Earl Grey tea, Wikipedia, and Mindsweeper, it is one of Weird Al's best songs in a while.

I love it, much better than the last release, and right up there with "You're Pathetic". I had pre-ordered his dualdisc at Amazon and I think it will finally ship sometime next week.

I have to agree

Yes, I'm glad to see Weird Al back in "nerd mode." I was getting a bit worried there for awhile...! Nobody really represents the nerd as well as Weird Al.

I agree, "Poodle Hat" was one of his worst albums, along with "UHF" and "Polka Party."

It's a shame "You're Pitiful" isn't going to be on the album, but the way Weird Al is giving away 4 songs of the album online, plus streaming some of the videos via MySpace, is quite clever... It's really the way musicians are going to have to promote themselves in the future.

Straight Outta Lynwood

I've been enjoying the high quality dual disc for a few days now. I must say, most of the songs are terribly clever and are musically sound, which is just as important. He can sometimes be quite the chameleon with his voice!

In any case, despite the nifty 5.1 surround sound on the DVD side, I'm a bit dissapointed that there are no actual videos included, only original animated interpretations. It's simply not the same. Still, it's a good deal and fun diversion from the same-old, same-old...
