It is called "Might & Magic X - Legacy" and it has the tag line "Old School - New Rules". It is a first person party based game. From the video it does in fact look pretty old school. Ohh goodie goodie...

Wow, I have to admit, I really like the look of it.

I hope they stick with the

I hope they stick with the traditional view that has been in the games since the first one. All of the Might and Magic games have had what could be called a first person viewpoint. The first two used very simple graphics but are extremely fun games. Movement was tile based and stayed that way until Might and Magic 6. Pseudo 3d (all sprite based usage) was introduced in Might and Magic III The isles of Terra (sp?) which also introduced VGA graphics. The pseudo 3d allowed you to see monsters farther than one tile away, allowing you to use ranged weapons to damage them before engaging in melee combat. Clouds of Xeen and The Dark side of Xeen were some of the best roleplaying games I had played to that point even though I loved Wizardry. The true 3d environment with sprites was introduced in M&M6 and went through 8. The Full 3d engine in Might and Magic 9 isn't terrible it was an average engine for when the game came out. What really makes M&M9 crappy is a terrible story, and an over complication of the classes and skill system. Getting grandmaster was difficult in 7 and 8, but doable. It was almost impossible to achieve in 9, for me at least. Also 9 is extremely buggy. Constantly crashing... Sounds like another 9 game I know, Ultima 9

loved the M&M games.. even the "crappy" ones.. I have not played 9 but I do own it.. got it on EBAY about a year ago (I never knew it existed till then, you guys mentioned it here) the Xeen one are personal favorites i re-visit quite often. 10 is a bit exciting.. how will the present it.. I am guessing something like Neverwinter nights, but would prefer a 3D FP view like the last 3 games but updated.. color me interested.

I adored the M&M series, though thankfully never touched 9. Mandate of Heaven is probably my favorite (I never played the earlier ones). It's just such a great game. Hell, I'd be happy if they'd just "update" that one.

Will definitely keep my eye on this...I just hope to god they don't bastardize it into some kind of Diablo III or Skyrim wannabe.
