Raph Koster was complaining

Raph Koster was complaining about the same thing. It IS surprising given LB's reputation for excellent packaging. Maybe he's still burning from Ascension's collectors edition?

Of course I ponied up for both projects. That said, I am a bit skeptical, probably more of the LB project than Torment. Tabula Rasa was supposed to be LB unleashed, so to speak, and that didn't seem to go very well. I hope this project isn't just that game with a new skin.

Torment seems like a pretty safe game as long as they don't mess with the formula too much. I think the temptation there will be to try to "update" it for modern gamers, who wouldn't enjoy all the dialog.

One thing I missed with the Ultima thing I ponied up for, it doesn't come in a box. You just get the physical items. Ugh. All that money and no box. I guess I can figure something out.

Hmmm I wonder.. I truly loved

Hmmm I wonder.. I truly loved the Ultima games, but he never got past um.. so to speak, moved up, improved. He had a great idea with the "be a real hero" stuff virtue and real good.. but other then graphics he never got to another level (IMHO). When he did take different paths they where very unsuccessful. he has no success in his last outings.. much like most the "failed" kickstarters.. why should he succed? name alone? again I love the Ul;tima games.. but after 7 or so.. they where the same, just graphics changes. And as I say his "other" projects failed.. (I don't consider WIng Commander, heck even Ultima Underworld his, made by his company, but not him). Maybe name alone will do it.. I think some of his ideas are great.. just somewhat lacking when executed.. time will tell i guess.

edit- nah... i took a peak.. success.. in 3-10 days it seems.. I am WRONG.. hope its a good game, better then he last of the ULTIMA series.

I contributed to both the new

I contributed to both the new Planescape game and this, and anted up for the expensive physical versions of each. I hate that they're so expensive, but I'm definitely caught up in the nostalgia. Pity though how these can fund almost instantly, while other, arguably more interesting projects, can get the shaft...
