What do you think about the end of Nintendo Power, and the era it represented?

Biased

Yeah, I rarely believed the reviews, but I loved images and guides. It was a great display of what makes Nintendo so great.

It's the continued downward

It's the continued downward spiral of paper publishing, mostly (see Barnes & Noble in the news for more evidence), and also partially other corporate and systemic factors present at and from Nintendo.

As for the magazine itself, I know it was beloved, but it was never a favorite of mine. I found it mostly middling in quality and I never liked their amazing ability to ignore the idea that anything but Nintendo systems existed (thankfully, this policy changed in the last few years of the magazine's existence). Even the other single platform magazines acknowledged the competition to give a more well-rounded perspective.
