Angry Birds Star Wars actually does justice to both licenses. For two cash-in kings, that's an impressive accomplishment.

The good news if you get the CoCo 3 working, there's a new and inexpensive drop in memory replacement that gives you 512K, which will allow all of the original software to run, including the Sierra games that required the extra RAM.

We have a CoCo 3 in the basement with 128K upgrade installed. We suspect one of the chips has given up the ghost though, so we need to test them and see which one it was. Next time I'm over there, I'll see if he will dig it out for me.

I'm not sure how much the CoCo has in it. I was very young when dad was using it. My memories are mostly of the CoCo 3 - which I was old enough to use for games at the time, and most of our software is for the 3. I'm assuming it has however much memory came stock in the CoCo 1. I don't think dad upgraded it.

The CoCo seems to be in better working order than the 3, which I remember ran quite hot on top. Probably because it got much less use in the house than the CoCo 3.

Nice!

How much memory does your CoCo 1 have? There are some nice add-ons for the CoCo these days, including, of course, the ability to use flash drives. You really need a 64K system, though, and preferably a CoCo 3 for the full effect...

Couple of things you might find interesting...

Dad was in town, and we were messing around with some of our old computers. We hooked up the old TRS-80 Color Computer 1, plugged in the disk drive we put together years ago, and hooked it up to an amber monochrome monitor we used to use. Turns out the old 5 1/4 disks are still good - and we were soon playing a text version of "Star Trek". Was fun - but we don't have a whole lot of programs for the CoCo 1 that we didn't poke in ourselves. Here's a pic of the computer:

Also snapped a pic of the very first issue of The Rainbow. We put it in a frame - it's still in pretty good condition:
