There certainly are some tweaks

They have definitely made some changes to the way the game goes. The pace has changed considerably. Everything is much more fast paced. This was a complaint about the original one and Gearbox listened and corrected it. Everything is faster, including how you move. The Eridium to purchase weapon slots and back packs was a let down as I had hoped to be saving Claptraps again, but it is part of the story the way it is. I will say that for a rare mineral we certainly found a lot of it. I got the four pack with my brother, wife, and friend and We've played it the last two nights. The most I have had at one time is 43 Eridium and I'm only lvl 13. I do chew through ammo like a madman, and it always seems that my weapons are horribly under powered though. I've found that I actually get better weapon drops in single player mode than I do in multiplayer. Kinda strange. Oh and I've seen the exact same gun, same name and stats and secondary stats dropped 4 times in the same game; this makes me wonder about the 87 Kajillion guns comment. Your shields and health drop faster too if you aren't careful. The difficulty curve isn't a gradient one when playing with other people. It starts off flat then jumps exponentially for every person you have join. With four players we were getting stomped in areas that were supposed to be popcorn fights i.e. No boss or badass enemies.

It is an improvement overall from the first one in my opinion, and Clok is correct. If you didn't like the first one, this one isn't going to change your opinion of the series. But this is definitely a breath of fresh air in the FPS arena that is currently stuffed to the gills with military shooters that are to me very very dull. My Steam tag is N8than if you want to try playing it with me. Just send a friend invite.

Well i was a fan.. FPS.. eh

Well i was a fan.. FPS.. eh a million of um.. but level up and skill trees, that i like.. like some customization you can really build a character that excels at certian stuff to make your playstyle work better. Tha Cars part i could live without.. its just so so in my book.. Much Like RAGE from Id... all the texture problems didnt bother me much.. but FORCEING the race stuff on me turned me off BIG TIME. RAGE has an a fair FPS game in it.. the enemies are a challange and the Id engine is pretty sweet (baring the texture issues) but i simply quite playing as I HAD to race to get on with the story. Badlands requires some racing.. not really racing , just car wars - gun and run.. you can run away and regenerate health. None are to hard to pass even if you cant drive well ( i feel most racing gaems now days do not play well with a mosue keyboard.) Borderlands 2 scales a bit , i think One did two.. but I can tell you with 4 players ( i played online for about an hour) its hectic and hard.. more so then One was .. maybe thats the comments on HARD i read in reviews.. I found borderlands quite crappy when i played a class i was not good with.. i truely sucked with the TANK and Siren.. Gae was no fun then.. but the sniper or gun (soldier) i rock at.. to many FPS games I guess.. same with the new one.. ZERO and the chick.. not so good with.. the powers are kick butt.. but I am not kick butt at using them..

Im a bit excited to get home to play more.. Bit jeoulous i play with scrubs online.. nobody I know. would be a blast with some freinds. I will say its not as multiplayer freindly as the first. and when i say that.. it just takes more time to do quests.. they are more "meaty"...

I have it download on STEAM,

I have it download on STEAM, plan to play this Friday most likely. I wasn't crazy about the first one; hoping this will be more fun since I'll be playing it co-op with my brother.
