Well in strange bit of "luck" Borderlands2 came out yesterday at midnight and I woke up with a fever so I stayed home (is that luck?) after sleeping about 14 hours I crawled out of bed and took a look. I may be wrong but a new game is about a good a "treatment" as i can find.. while I didnt feel better it took my mind off the aches and crappy feeling. I played it for about 8 hours and went back to bed. I tried a couple of the classes and did a few bosses.

its borderlands +, no big changes I see except one that kinda disapoints in a small way. You increased bag space by saving Claptraps, now you dont. There is a new rare loot, some mineral that is purple, you sell that to increase bag space or ammo capasity. it appears you loot it commonely after boss fights, but randomly in any loot (rare). The other thig the mineral is used for is GUNS! its ammo to certian guns and its powerfull. But its a real crap shoot on how much you have. I played to about 10 on 2 characters.. one had enouhg for a back pack and a couple ammo mods.. the other.. the backpack only...

they have increased the wierd character number, a good thing as the wierd world they created was really fleshed out with the people they personalized. I think they ahve more now (as im not done I'm not sure but it seems to be). While the world feels borderlands.. its fresh as its a new area. the new badguy is a ton of fun.. he pops in radio wise and tries to annoy ya and his little talks are quite funny at times.. very 12 year old school boy funny, but funny none the less. they ahve increased the vehicals you drive, alos the colors they can be. Another change is some loot is purely cosmetic.. like a differnt head for your class.. so instead of everybody looking like the same old TANK, you can have a hat, or glasses to look a litle differnt int eh multiplayer games.

the classes , as i only played a couple i cant comment on all, and you really dont know what one can do till its higher in its skill tree. But the guy with the turrent is much Like Rolland in frist one.. The ZERO guy plays allot like Lillith, and my favorite (from videos) the gunzzerker.. seems a bit lame in game.. uses ammo like no tomorrow and doesnt seem all the more powerfull.. sad.. as i wanted to play him. The "second chance" system in this game has made me a HARD chargert on tough battles.. charge ina dn do some DPS.. worst case you go down up close and can finish with a second chance.. I figured the guy with 2X the firepower would wokr good for this.. but not for me.

alot of review i read mentioned it was harder and ammo was scarcer.. Harder- i dont think so.. the new talents seem OP compared to the old crew.. ammo, yes i know i am swapping weapons alot instead of hammer throuhg with the weapon of choice like I did in B1. Antehr nice thing is more bosses, or it seems like more, so some good weapons to start. And yes.. there are a TON of guns.. where in the last one, even more in this one. But more doesnt mean better.. the new inventory system makes comparing hassle compared to B1.. i tend to write my gun stats down and compare that way instead of inventory. They spent time on gun models they all look really good, instead of just differnt colored and a few scopes. I havent run into as many "wow its powerfull but it holds 2 shots" guns.. most guns are 3 or more.. and I havent seen to many really powerfull but gimped guns. they leave the gimping to recoil and acc. Gernades now are like guns.. you can mod um.. gernades worked good in B1, they work Awsome in B2, almost OP, one mod doubles the power.. then use the one that explodes into smaller ones.. WOW!

Overall if you enjoyed the first (I did) you will like the second, if you are expecting big changes.. then no.. the game has been Tweeked.. maybe harder (I dont see it) little more ammo management, better (or maybe just more noticeble) skill trees. MORE of all the best stuff. About the only thing i dont like is the Purple Ore money system.. thats also used for guns.

........Well...... She can

........Well...... She can cook, and she does enjoy action movies (Her favorite right now is The Running Man). I can make no comments to her parents financial status. You know it's very funny as she never cared about FPS games when we started dating back in 2002. I was Borderlands 1 that she liked, and we started trying other FPS games. As long as we are on the same team she is okay. She doesn't like PvP FPS games. But she will try any computer game at least once with me. I got her to sit down and play the Amiga with me, and she took over the a600 playing SimCity2000 for almost 3 days straight! I also got her to sit down and play through Space Quest all the way up to Space Quest 6 (She didn't like the graphics in 6 so we never finished it.) and all of King's Quest. I'm still trying to get her to play Quest for Glory and Leisure Suit Larry. We've played the Eye of the Beholder series, and just recently we played our way through Buck Rogers and The Countdown to Doomsday. We're going to start on Matrix Cubed next.

Edit - oh and She also plays role playing games with me and my friends. :-)

Sorry to say but I see hardly any difference.
Come to Battlefield 3, you know you want to.

I played battlefield42 it was an excellent game.. then they made it like every other FPS :) B3/COD/ MW meh.. but that is just my opinion :) heehhe and a tiny joke too.. We all like different things. Borderlands is about teaming up to beat game, BF3 is about beating other players.. I have lost interestin PvP games with all the unlocks and such..in the old days when you where matcehd Evenly no matter what they where alot more fun. people with lots of free time are equiped better then people with less free time. I must admit.. i dont own BF3 so my commets could be incorrect, does it have unlocks? last one I played online was Black Ops..

One thing you can do to

One thing you can do to increase your guns fairly well is get lucky playing the jackpot game in Moxxi's. I got a lvl 15 gun there that at lvl 21 I still haven't found a better one. A sniper rifle with 303 for the damage 98.5 Accuracy 5.4 for Rate of Fire, Reload speed of 2.7 and 15 round capacity (before modifying from my Commando ability.) When I crit it does over 2000 damage. It's very nice. One of the best SMG's I have seen came out of the jackpot game as well. My wife won an SMG that was literally over 100 on damage and everything else was crazy too. I think it carries 60 or 70 rounds. She just chews through things with it. It's a purple though. You have to get 3 Marcus's to win a purple. Mine's merely a blue 3 Legs, 3 7's will get you a skin, 3 cherries gets you a green gun. 3 Bandits throws a grenade, 3 of the eridium stacks give you 4 8, and then 20 eridium respectively. Be warned though, I have only ever hit the triple stack of Eridium once. I was super surprised. I didn't know if it could be done.

I flip that turrent out in

I flip that turrent out in almost any open area, especialy with the warp guys. i hate those.. I really am enjoying it more then the first, some nice touchs. I like how the robots who use the shileds or spinning arms can be shot in legs.. Horay! for Aiming. Overall the warp guys, the flying static shooting robots drive me nuts.. those flying ones are easy as heck to kill if you can hit um... which is easy too.. but in a hectic firefight they are just perfectly annoyingly effective. And a BADASS Electric Skagg... NOTHING in the game can one shot you.. but thats as close as it gets.. one hit and shields are gone... second, if it connects .. your in fight for your life...
last night i spent a little time catching up on over leveled quests.. which can lead to some cockyness, feel like a real bad man can kill so quick and easy.. and stupidity.. guys i can one shot and got myslef in so deep a few times i was in a fight for your life.. even the little guys can wittle away at you..

Love how we are seeing the old guys from the game.. I'm not horribly far in i dont think (level20 so my guess is maybe 1/2, or a bit more.. as first one could be done at level 30-35) but i havent seen the tank. so im guessing he will show up.

enjoy how bosses respawn now too in old area's.. might make farming to easy.. (drops should be way overlelved but ...)

they did a good job taking good and making it better.. Now if i should just find a reason to play some other classes. I cant see how the turrent or gunzerker are not the best.. (even if i cant play the gunzerker) as prue firepower seems to trump anything in this game.. stealth is nice.. but its not like these guys lose you.. if your behind a wall, any mob on map in range knows.. even if they havent seen you, targeting is based on range only as far as i can tell. right now my main problem is i found a gun i like.. an i depend on it way to much.. and its starting to get a bit long in tooth and no upgrade has arrived.. if i had a gripe.. i NEVER have felt.. wow this gun kicks butt.. its alwasy like im slighlty behind the curve gun wise this time.. B1 i would run across a kick butt gun now and again.. havent in B2..

SPOILERS (not to bad)..

anybody haveing a tough time giving up the shield made out of the robot (or did anybody take the gun?) there are much better shields.. but its fun listening to him.. even if i have heard all he says.. its kinda neat hearing him. but a 800 shiels id starting to go down quick.. and i have a 1200 in my bacakpack with same stats.. but no voice :(

I don't use my turret unless

I don't use my turret unless the situation is desperate. When playing 4 player co-op the turret is a great distractor when the whole team has gone down except for you and all the enemy are focused on you specifically. The turret draws their attention so you can heal everyone else. Plus if you have the turret out and you get knocked down the turret can get you a second wind. It is very powerful compared to the turret in the first one, but I have noticed all the powers are stronger in this one than the first.

worked in yard till dark on

worked in yard till dark on Friday, caught a cold (YA!!!!!!) so didnt play much this weekend at all. How did friday nights Boderland session go? I played some pug co-op on release day, but havent played any more since.. I'm one of those "know the game" before i blunder into a pug and listent to the "i learned a new cus word" kids. I miss the old days when all my friends where not married or 'adults" who dont have time for games. I will try add ya this week, after missing the neie weekend laying around house sick i gotta lot of catch up to do.. Looks like a niec week in our neck of the woods (matt and me).

i did find a cool easter egg.. Minecraft! in borderlands.. pretty neat. I also see my distaste for the Gunzerker is .. well.. mine an mine alone. seems he is the class of choice. i did try him some more on monday... he is alot like the Tank from One, just ranged instead of up close. I really need to learn the "hard" classes.. that Turrent is just such and easy out.. flip and hide.

faster... yes, good way to

faster... yes, good way to describe it. I notice you ahve to LOOT everything.. especially in boss locations. There have been several unlocks ( new heads, colors and such) at them.. the midget bullywog boss.. I missed his hideout complelty on the first playthrough.. sweet spot to grind if you do that type of thing ( i dont, but due to a bug I was there a long time) can sell loot and enemies keep spawning.. I ahve played it to that point with all classes now.. and that dang boss will get under the world (guess) as he shows on map but is under the dock in the water (again guess as I cant see him and he isnt above me, unles he is on top of the ice?).. he has done it 2x now...cant kill him then..

I wonder.. am i the only one who thinks the Turrent guy is OP'ed (or at very least easiest to play)? as he was in the first game (i know they are different, but both have turrent).. unlimited ammo, turrent that can actually kill stuff (more so in 2 than in 1) while you hide. I SHOULD not have started with him.. I didnt die till the TEA PARTY (hope that isnt to much a spoiler) and only then becuase I was stupid.. but all other classes.. i suck at.. die pretty regualr in tight spaces..

I must admit i was terrrified of the verkids (pre laucnh it soundedlike they wher bad news)? they are cake.. also let a Goliath build.. its dang cool how bad azz they get.. of course its all directed at you so there is some risk :)
