GOG is giving to very excellent RPGs away for filling out a survey- no idea how long htis lasts so go quick.. Realms of Arkania 1&2 free... some of the best turned based combat around, very deep gameplay.. I loved these game back in the day.. if there was one gripe.. they where to micro manage.. shoes wore out, etc.. and if you walked barefoot to long you would have a fever or worse.. and it effected stats.. like i say very deep gameplay.. easily worth a survey i think

Editor is extremly simple,

Editor is extremly simple, all items, all monsters, etc, are just click to place. other then that it 'seems" pretty simple to do locks and pull chains and stuff like that. It is Scripting, but they have had all the basics on the wbesite so its just copy and paste and rename. laying a dungeon out is so simple its amazing. it appears its only as hard as you make it (complex doors or puzzles could be a bit of work, but only so far as copy paste and name changing). I didnt lookat everything but I saw code snippets for most things. So it appears us Dungeon Builders now have the tools.. About the only thing i found I didnt like (and there is quit possibly something for it) is no way to do a scene/txt at begining to tell some small backstory if you want. You can use the notes and wall carvings to tell some I guess.

Im a bit excited, but wish it was a bit more freindly on simple(repatitiious) stuff, why have a script on a door and key.. just make sure when you place a locked door, once placed a key has to be placed also.. no scripting, just DONE. I know it lets you tinker.. but do it automaticly with the option to tinker.

Now i see there are already a few (dungeons) up on steam workshop to try. Sadly with such a simple tool set its not the tools, but the builder that will matter here. Far to many will carve a few rooms and plop a few items and think its done (myslef included maybe).. it will take some skill and insperation to do some cool stuff.

Cool. I already have those,

Cool. I already have those, but it's a great deal if someone doesn't. I've been following the Grimrock editor thing too. It looks cool, though I doubt I'll have time to mess with it myself. Hopefully we get some nifty creations, maybe even things outside fantasy...
