Seems a LEGIT xbox 720- code named Durango is for sale....!!!!! and so far everybody has said its legit (people with dev kits too, who all want to remain nameless).. Intel CPU Nvidea GPU and 8 gigs.. basicly... a 4 year old PC tech (it seems from waht everybody is saying).. keep in mind most dev kits are nothing more then simple PC's and as the hardware fleshs out the dev kits specs do too.

The real news is .. its out ther for devs.. they gotta start locking some stuff down. Shouldbe a boatload of new info comming shorlty if this proves real.. and all sources seem to say it is.

from my understanding LIve is

from my understanding LIve is used for Netflix far more than anything else.. I think it was over 60%.. So i doubt it will allow it for free, but .. since it doesnt use LIVE bandwidth or servers it should. Kintect is almost a for sure.. while MS has quietly cancled over half the Kinect games they have ever announced and its sales have been slow (since intial launch) they quit announcing sold units, its MS baby and while its not doing so well on the Xbox for games, its doing quite well in other areas.. maybe not sales wise.. but its an impressive piece of kit and i thinkt he buzz it genrates is well worth MS keeping it going, and its still quite possible a "must have" game will show up, basicly i think its doing good enouhg MS wont scrap it, great PR, it does sell in bundles (especially holidays) .. media.. blue ray was in an early design doc.. but I think MS might pull a nintendo.. some hybred version of something to "slow" pirateing...

I must admit im conflicted with the 360/ps3, I'm not sure why, but my PS3 works better than the 360 with netflix (what my consoles are used for 99%) I have them both hooked to my LCD42" in my bedroom on HDMI.. at first i was sure one HDMI port was having issues.. but swapping them around made no difference. I even drug my second units in from my living room to test.. while its not enouhg to matter.. there is a differnece.. its like its duller on the 360, hard to describe...very strange.

but when it comes to game.. if its on both... the 360 version is alwasy cheaper to buy..problem is almost anything on both is alos on PC.. and then i dont use consoles.. and the unfortnate problem i find with the 360 is 99% of the games are FPS.. again, dont play um on consoles.. even my beloved DEMONS SOULS games are now on PC.. so scratch that from my PS3 playing time.. about all thats left is Blakes (worth a ps3 , those games rock).. guesss im glad i have room for both. but to be honest a modded 360 is a sweet machine (emulation and such) and it gest the most use.. for gaming.. But I still like the old PS3 controler the best. Im sure it just becuase i ahve used it forever (ps1 on).

From a hardware standpoint I

From a hardware standpoint I hope it plays blurays so I can put my PS3 to pasture, and I hope it includes something like kinect so that more games and apps have support for it.

From a software standpoint I hope Microsoft doesn't require a Live subscription to use things like netflix and hulu on their next console (I'm assuming it will include at least these apps).
