Well it's that time of year again E3 starts on Monday.

I'm looking forward to what Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are going to bring to the table. The latter especially the Wii U looks good and im quite interested in its tablet controller.

I'm not sure we'll hear about the next generation of consoles from Microsoft and Sony this year. I hold out some hope but I'll remain guarded.

I'm would be really surprised

I'm would be really surprised to see a new console announcement from either Sony or Microsoft this early because their current consoles are selling really well. While they are probably working on prototypes I think they will wait till next year for an announcement because they don't want to hurt current sales.

Things I hope to see:
Pricing for Wii U
Technical details for Wii U (how many tablets? what is thier range?)
Will Nintendo have a unified online plan/store for Wii U and 3DS?
A PS3 game that will appeal to me. The only thing on my radar now is the next Metal Gear game, but I hope somebody can do better than that.
An RPG for PC that is done in a similar style to the Baldur's Gate and other Infinity Engine games.

Microsoft's conference is due

Microsoft's conference is due to start in 3 hours and 30 mins. Looking forward to what they're brining to the table in 2012 and beyond. Their smart glass technology looks interesting. Hopefully they'll show Halo 4 a series I've always enjoyed and although I don't own a Kinect im sure there will be some interesting things for people that do.

The best of the early rumors

The best of the early rumors seem to indicate the Wii U will support a second touchscreen controller, which itself has been slightly enhanced, and which I always said was a critical feature to support. A big portion of Microsoft's focus will be leveraging the Xbox 360 as a mirrored display of some sort for portable devices (smartphones and tablets), and maybe even something in the reverse. Sony's apparently will be some type of game streaming service integration. We'll know what the really big news is though the next few days as it actually happens. Obviously, Nintendo has a gimmie this E3 due to the new hardware, it's just a matter of Microsoft and Sony coming up with anything of interest...

neither of sony or MS press

neither of sony or MS press releases say anything next gen, so i doubt it.. but again, i wouldnt leave it past um to try steal some of Nintendos's thunder with something. Biggest thing i heard is EA is going to admit defeat and put games back on STeam... I think the new Nintendo console will be the talk.. and if they can get some real sports game, a real online setup.. it might be another Wii.. early, new tech..
