Normally I'd be there, but sadly I'll be away at Seattle on those days:
Vintage Computer Festival East 8.0 will be held on May 5 and 6, 2012 at the InfoAge Science Center in Wall, New Jersey.
Keynote speakers will be:
Dr. Thomas Kurtz, co-inventor of the BASIC programming language and Daniel Kottke, Apple employee #12.
Two days of working(!) vintage computer exhibits, workshops, panel discussion, consignment table, book sale, door prizes and more!
Sponsored by MARCH, the Mid-Atlantic Retro-Computing Hobbyists, http://midatlanticretro.org and VintageTech http://www.vintagetech.com/
Did they invite you to speak, Bill? If not, shame on them.
I have been invited a few times over the years, yes, as well as to other events. I've gotten several offers to screen our film at various places, too. I really have no interest at this time in the former, and the latter as you know is not quite there yet...

I really wish I could go. I have heard about this from a friend of mine who lives in New Jersey, and it's certainly my kind of show. I would love to sit in on the keynote with Dr. Kurtz. I bet it will be an interesting speech. Sadly that is way too far away for me to make it to.
