You are looking for a C64 and an Amiga?

I have a spare Breadbin Commodore 64 sitting here at my house. I don't remember if it has the power leads and the video leads, but I will look for it if you wish. I also know someone who has full Amiga A2000 set up machines that he's selling. If I remember correctly they have 1MB chip ram at the minimum, with a hard drive controller and one floppy. Depending on the machine it may have an 030 accelerator as well. He has several 1084S monitors that would go along with it. The only thing that might need to be scrounged for is the mouse. I wish I had known you were looking, I would have had you come to KC when you were leaving St. Louis to have a look.

Still there...

Damn. I might have sprung for that PS3, since I still don't have a way to play Blu-Ray discs. $200 is still steep (IMO) for such an old system, but it still doesn't make sense to spend $50-100 on a dedicated player when you will miss out on the access to PS3 games. Grrr.

I guess it's close enough now just to wait for the next gen of consoles. I've heard the Xbox 720 will likely have Blu-Ray.

It's still there if you want it: http://www.gamestop.com/collection/gamestop-sale . Get the 160GB and your choice of Batman Arkham City or Mortal Kombat Komplete for $199.99 plus tax and shipping and handling. My total came to $226.04 since my tax rate was $18.06 and shipping $7.99.

We honestly don't know what the Xbox 720 will have, though I am one of the ones who believes it will likely have a Blu-ray drive as well. You can't count on that, though, and we are talking mid-2013 at the very earliest...

Also, the nice thing with the PS3 is that you can pay $50 a year for PlayStation Plus and they give you free games every month, usually a small selection of minis (playable on PS3, Vita, PSP), PS1 games (also playable on PS3, Vita, PSP) and PS3 games (typically Xbox LIVE Arcade equivalents, though occasionally full retail games). The catch is that they're only yours for as long as you have a PlayStation Plus account, which, for those of us used to maintaining an Xbox LIVE Gold account is nothing unusual... Anyway, you don't have to pay for that, the online is free on PS3 otherwise. It's nowhere near as good as on Xbox, though...

I picked up Diablo III when

I picked up Diablo III when you could get a Year of WoW and it for same price (also got you in beta).. have they set an actual release date yet?
I have bought way to much in the last bit.. After the Vita release and 'almost" getting one I decided to add an Android Tablet to sit by my unused Ipad.. So i could have two :) lots and lots of research and I decieded on a Thrive.. the ports and removable battery put it in "why would i get any other" area for me.. I cant belive people can actually say 3 ounce weight difference is going to effect it useability with a straight face.. The thicker.. maybe... The only real negative i could find (for my use) was the shorter battery life 7 instead of 10 or 11... and with everybody closing um out it was about $20 more then a kindle Fire. About 6 steam games (mostly specials, ruespell, chopperlifter HD, etc). Been looking at Amazon Prime a bit as I have bought so much there i think i need to get it. Going ot look at a toy car on Sat (well old guy toy, a 94 vette to upgrade from my current 87) .. but thats not computer or gadget releated

Today I purchased Diablo III:

Today I purchased Diablo III: Collector's Edition from Buy.com. They had it in stock. I also bought a second PS3, a 160GB slim. Gamestop online has a special deal on either a PS3 or Xbox 360, with $50 off, plus a free $50 game. So for $199.99 plus shipping and tax, I got a 160GB slim and Batman: Arkham City. Nice deal.
