For various reasons, we have three Xbox 360's at present in our house. In the family room is an Xbox 360 S, in our bedroom is an HDMI-equipped original Xbox 360 with a blueish replacement faceplate, and in our basement is an HDMI-equipped original Xbox 360 with a blackish patterned faceplate. I just didn't like how that looked, so the other day I got a clearance replacement plate off of Amazon with matching side panel stickers.

Before:
One of the spare Xbox 360's before...

After:
And the Xbox 360 after...

Al mine are skinned also, when the RROD was such a huge deal I dixed several of them and I kept the coolest looking cases for myslef. I'm a green nut so one is a chrome green refelctive skin (bad idea is stratchs easeily), one is ... pin up stuff, not even sure how the girl is. and the one in my room is actually God Of War (strange skin for a 360) all came on broken 360's... I also had a couple of anima inspired ones. All mine are stickers so the front plate sticker is so-so on a couple, the real PLATE ones are the best. i did make one myslef. The old 360 are white so if you go to EBAY you can buy the decal paper you use on models.. you can print it with any printer, cut it, apply to xbox ( base color is importnat as all printers assume white paper, works like a charm on 360's that are white) put it on , slide it around to where you want it.. let dry, apply a light coat of clear to "seal" it. I wanted to do something to my new one (slim) but black is pretty limiting. I like the rockband one.

That's a great idea. I took the lazy man route and paid $4.99 on Amazon for the Rockband panel and skins combo. I think one reason why the customization failed to catch on for the 360 is that most only replace the front panel and don't even cover things like the DVD drive and what-have-you, so it doesn't look particularly nice. That's especially why I didn't like the black (it's actually a bit of a checkerboard with different shades) faceplate, and that's why I don't mind the bluish faceplate on the other one--it sort of works with the rest of the console being white and silver.
