Im sorry its not quite your

Im sorry its not quite your cup of tea.. But I imagine you are not the only one. Your going to see alot of clones (bad ones I'm sure)soon.. first game to almost Match COD sales at release (on steam it even outsold it (at least for a week), which is pretty big) of course sales don't make it a great game. It is (and this might be funny) about the least buggy of the games they have released in a long time (and yes I wont argue it still is pretty buggy). I do know how you feel, DEAD Island was such a big deal.. and for a few short hours I was hooked.. but lost interest really quick its amazingly clunky interface and repatative "just swing, grab a new weapon and repeat" got old. I think my big draw is just a huge world to explore i cant get enough of that.

keep in mind this game does not use the old Oblivion model for enemies.. they don't tailor to your level anymore (or so they say).. SO there are some places you cant go right away. I found one dungeon where i was one shotted constantly and that when I abandon my Mage and tried my Archer. While Im annoyed by companion AI its part of it.. you cant stand behind um you need to flank ( sorta like real life) You will need some help unless you are allot more Uber than me.. (and maybe you are)..

IM 100% biased on this game :) it looks awesome to me and even while i can see all the problems its still way to fun ( to me)..

Yeah, the 360 version has

Yeah, the 360 version has lots of glitches...just saw a horse go flying through the air (and no, it wasn't a pegasus!).

I wish there was to store stuff on the horse, since I gave up on companions. I just let her stay in my house and tidy up. Lydia was boring anyway...Hardly any dialog, and not much fun. IMO they really dropped the ball on companions. Companions were way more fun in Fable and Dragon Age.

So far my experience has been mediocre. The constant one-shots make it pretty miserable to play as a mage. Wishing now I'd just gone for a warrior. Feeling the need for armor.

I'm still playing and not bored, but it's like I feel with all the Elder Scrolls games...glitchy and disappointing in many respects, but always fun enough to keep you interested where other games would have you putting them on the shelf unfinished. So I'd guess I'd say it's "just good enough" to keep you going, but definitely not (in my case, at least) titillated.

I am actually really happy

I am actually really happy (bug wise) But im on the PC, leat buggy of the last 3 leder scroll games.. and less then Fallout and F:Vegas (so far). I have had about 5 crashs.. middle of no where just running and turn (its the same everytime) and BAM at desktop. I belive its texture load issues, I "THINK" its when i can see alot of open area (plains) in front of me.. lots of differnt etxtures loaded, then turn back.. may be my companion (her textures) or the mountians or? really seems to be the same all the time.

Game breaking bugs: have had a few quest givers not talk to me. A save and reload has fixed this.. trick is.. never know if its just a person who wont talk to you or the game is having issues.. I had one where i was suposed to talk to sombody, and they simply would not say anything.. i was stumped.. reread my quest etc.. run around town and came back.. got bored and saved (ate/slept/ took a break, somthing) came back and loaded and WOOT quest arrow above head and she gave me quest.. now I wonder if I have missed stuff where I thought i Was done? Other NPC didnt talk to me ? If it wasnt that the quest specificly said it I wouldnt have known it.SO now i think.. was there more, did a quest guy not talk to me..

non game breaking: NPC runnign away into the game geometry.. inside rocks? underwater and gond for good? especially those you put the beat down on and they run away.. they just disapper where there is no place to disapper.. but!!!! they will come back when the "run away" timer is off.. appear out of rocks etc... Have also seen NPC drop out of sky ( but that is an old Marrowind/Oblvion bug). ROCKETpowered kicks.. all the debrie on the ground.. i can kcik some stuff and it will loook like it shot out of cannon. When i get a good 3-4 hours in without a crash I get texture "gone" issues. But i dont fall through them.. just hard to navigate when all the walls are gone.. Again, close out and go back in fixes it for me. Not one I see alot as i have only had a couple 3-4 hour sessions.. most are an hour or two till somebody annoys me with a phone call or 'come out and play" thing :) (normally im all for that, but im kinda digging Skyrim now so I WANT TO PLAY!)

companions: Lydia is getting into Terminator mode for me.. Matt cant shoot around her ( i straff alot so its not an issue except in halls)Heck, i cant shoot, dang wench is a one man ARMY she kills beofre I can draw a arrrow back.. i got a life stealing ORC battleaxe, buffed it so it steals even more health.. and she never drops.. I just had her take on a whole Elf outpost, I was sneaking in trying to do some sniping.. and first shot is fired the guards all look around but dont see me (and wont leave the fort).. she charges in.. I see at least 6 archers and she has 4 fully elven armoured guys swinging swords on her.. the RED glow of life stealing is going non stop... Im trying to snipe the archers on the walls.. the battle moves inside where i cant see.. Im thinking i will have 6 gaurds rushing out.. i can hear the battle going on while I snipe.. i have ALMOST killed one guy! and she charges up the step and takes the 6 archers on.. I am just dead wieght to her :) I get inside fort, she killed 6 soliders and 6 archers.. Ok i sorta helped with one archer.. Which brings me to wondering if i should be SOLO.. but there is no way i can Handle 4 (correction, 6) armoured melee with a bow.. I could have killed the 6 archers.. but once I entered the fort.. i would have been bum rushed and died.. so without her help i cant do it.. but with her help im slinging about 90% less arrows so my archery skill is slow to level..

Misha? the dog is worthless I cant keep it alive.. (from my understanding it and one campanion is the only way to have 2).. so i have sent it home after trying to make it work.. I CANT let it die (just not my style).. so its battle win, dead dog.. reload.. so I just sent it home.. Its actually pretty good fighter, just cant take any damage.

MAGIC: well i have a 17 archer and a 14 Distruction mage.. and the ARCHER is far more deadly.. but the mage can deal some great mass damge on groups .I went flame.. and reget if.. the PURE dmg from ice spike is .. just awsome.. if you can get good hitting with it. Arrows are unlimited, mana is not, miss a few times and its battle over . I do think a MAGE is the way to play the game (not from a DMG point, but to get the most challangeing gameplay). I KNOW i will play it through with both. I was in awe of magic early game, frustrated in the teens.. and in awe of it again late teens.. Dont discout the undead resurection spells either.. you get um to last longer (enchants) you can have a non stop army with you.. one goes down, just raise another.. necor robs are 75% mana regen.. add a 20% ring 100% mana regen then tack on a Conjurors Cowl ( longer resurects).. and a maybe boots with bonus damage.. Im unstopable MANA wise.. little bit fragile otherwise :) Presonally send 3 dragons at me instead of 3 ice mages... or a couple necro's with bodyguards.. its dang annoying fighting the dead guys over and over..one temple i was in was full of the undead (dargu?) and 4-5 necros.. i had killed a tone of the dargu and they kept rasing um and hiding behind wards.. Fight SMART! light the oil on floor on fire (or knock down the lantern for same effect) and ward up.. let the raised undead do your work :) RETREAT!!! your companions seldom die.. when they yieild you wil be focus..back track. mana up, use those traps to do damage to them.. your companion will come back and help in short order. AND DO NOT forget, HP potions on them.. they may have ulimited arrows.. but they wont heal a lick without you putting postions in there pack..

this game is about how you USE whats given to you... and I'm not talking the drops.. Im talking use that blacksmith skill, that encanter skill, alchemy (i seldom use potions except to increase my skills during the other two).. enchants are HUGE... making your weapons better with blacksmithign is pretty big too.. I find alchemy to be a fair money maker.. mats are easy.. no more potion bottles.. just grind out 30 of them from mats and sell.. not big money, but easy.. and most shops have the table right in um, go collect a crapload of the easy flowers. grind out 100 potions (alchemy is raised for better stuff).. get all the gold that shopkeeper has...

Companions: Im a bit stumped.. I give her a bettter weapon (lydia) and she wont use it sometimes.. So i gotta strip her pack of weapons so she will equip it.. she had a Dwarf Longsword I had buffed up.. yet the Orc battel axe did more Dmg and made her a killing machine (and had the way better lifestealing buff) she wouldnt use it.. and Armour.. in Fallout they equip waht you give them.. Lydia has put a helmet on.. but othewise.. i cant seem to get her to equip anyting else.. and make it show.. Elf light armour is pretty sweet (right now in game).. but she wont wear it.. not even a piece of it.. and as far as I can tell she only has a chest piece and helmet.. but she shows fully armoured.. BUG? no idea?

I like this game so much Im almost sorry im level 20 almost.. only 30 levels to go :( and Im geussing the game is tuned more like 40ish.. fallout max level you where a GOD.. I max leveled it as I liked it so much, then the addons came out and i mowed throuhg um like butter.. its like the games are tuned 10 levels lower the you can go.. so you are always 10 levels higher then the enemies.. and Im not playing on easy...

360 crashing? man i have seen it alot more then once (though I must admit i think i can count all of them on all my fingers and toes.. so its not a HUGE amount).. This is beth... there games crash.. just the way it works :)

Crap. This thing is bug

Crap. This thing is bug infested...

Just fought a huge battle for the second time...won it, then the game crashed. First time I've seen this on a 360 game--crashed so bad I actually had to restart the xbox.

Graphics on 360

Actually, if you're playing the 360 version, the opposite is true. They need to issue a patch, which should hit any day now for all platforms. Something with the texture streaming algorithms being optimized for play off a disc, not the hard drive.

I played it all day

I played it all day yesterday. Hoping to get a lot more gameplay in today.

I've suffered with lots of glitches. One dungeon had "holes" where floor textures should be, and I kept falling through! Then there was a sliding puzzle that didn't operate. I thought I was doing something wrong....Finally decided to save and reload, then it worked fine. Lots of little things like that...So far no game-stoppers or corrupted saves at least.

I read that installing the game gives you better graphics. I did that and don't notice any improvements, but maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.

I am trying to play a mage but there are problems. The biggest issue is my house carl Lydia. She insists on getting right in front of my fire spells every time. A few times she's even attacked me after jumping in front of my firebolts.

I also hate that she won't ride my horse or get her own. I noticed a lot of complaints about that. Really, I don't even think you need a horse for this game, since you can't fight from horseback (REALLY? REALLY??) and have to get off all the time to get herbs and such.

I hope there are flying spells or flying mounts at some point...That'd be neat.

As a mage my armor sucks...Usually get one shotted if I can't get to my potions fast enough. There are protection spells, but they only last 60 seconds...It takes that long for my mana to build back up after using one...Agree about sneak being important. Probably worth a perk or two in that.

I bought a house already...Nice feature. I love having a "homebase" in games like this.

Anyway, back to play some more.

IGN has a post compiling

IGN has a post compiling various glitches: http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1212511p1.html?RSSwhen2011-11-16_080000

I must say, I don't consider many of these glitches a bad thing, but in fact adding to the game's considerable charms.

ok yes a bear charge is not

ok yes a bear charge is not fun.. I was fighting bandits and was about 3/4 health and got one shotted by a bear I didnt see comming. I'm getting sick of dragons! ehehe cant wander around without one comming down. I think i have killed about 10 now and i know there are lots more.. I was wondering if there was a specific amount ( game seems to almost imply this if you follow main quest) but I think its random now. Cool thing.. i have found if you want to NOT fight one.. just find a spot it cant land.. (close to a cliff face, small land mass in middle of stream (or rock).. they will circle forever and then finally leave..

Blacksmithing, learn it sooon.. keep those pelts.. use the leather tanner make simple bracers.. you will be 50 + in no time. Carry that 10lbs pick axe with you and MINE MINE MINE all that ore adds up.. not money wise but blacksmithing.. you can improve all your items.. then enchant them (while using a bonus potion ot make your enchanting better) and you are pretty bad A$$.

Hint, winterhaven when you enter the town, has the Blacksmith shop almost in front of you.. talk to the girl (ask about work), she will teach you the basics of smithing for free.. Wish i had did this early in game.. Im playing catch up now, I didnt know i could use the tanning thing at all till just yesterday.

Some things I wish.. I wish i had storage sooner in game.. I held off buying my first house to long and left alot of good loot laying around cuz im packing Dragon bones and scales .. (they wieght alot!) I bought alot of spell books.. and have found almost every one later. If you are a mage or archer.. let um hit you sometimes.. or your armour skill will never go up.. Keep in mind a bandit hitting you or a troll, bear is quite different :) chose who you let beat on you wisely. I wish merchants had more money.. Learn to sell EVERY time you can.. as gems and such build up.. and when you need to reduce weight quick and the merchants have no money to buy stuff its annoying. Learn to eeb a thief, you pretty much need to be one later.. I seldom play a thief.. but this game requires me to revise my thinking.. now Im playing catch up again late in game when I should ahve been doing it all along. Sneak at all times from the start.. to build your sneak.. Again I am not a stealth guy, i charge in.. but having the ability to do 3or 4X damage from a sneak attack is a nice bonus on the touhg guys.

Hear are some Tricks/Tips that dont involve abusing the game engine: Speech- everything you sell builds this.. One town has a dungon in it (sorry forget name, but substitute any dungeon close to a town) Clear those packs, go in and take every singel thing of value.. head to town and sell it, rinse repeat.. you will have speech leveled in no time (why Im not sure)?

Not every cool thing is marked on the map.. so if you find ruins that doesnt give you a location discovery text.. keep track.. I have found several with Dwarven metal parts that melt down inot dwarven ingots.. HUGE deal for late in game. Also pay close attention to weird metal plates on walls in ruins.. I just found out they are compartments.. maybe everybody else knew this.. I just assumed they where decoration.. and missed a few.

I'm almost overwhelmed by locations.. When i started i was poking my head into every spot.. but there is SO DANG MUCH later in game Im getting so sidetracked i have almost to many quests ( and for me to say that! its a big deal, I LOVE QUESTS!) The map is way bigger then I first.. I had thought after the first day or so.. "man this map is small" but ntow that Im moving out.. I think its growing bigger.. maybe Im wrong, but i think when you start the map only scrolls around so much, but as you move out ot the edges it grows? Imagination or not.. 40-50 hours in I bet im at 20% or so discoverd.. and WAY less quest wise.. I see level 50 is an achievemnt. Im only 17.. so maybe im 30% or so done with game? I (saying it again) always been a fan of Elder Scroll games.. but Oblivion and Marrowind had many issues that kept them from true greatness.. But Skyrim has came almost to perfection (in my eyes).. I do worry its maybe the dumbing down of the series that has pushed it into "great" for me.. Seems like abad thing.. but I went throuhg the same thing transitioning from Everquest to wow.. wow was so sppon fed easy It couldnt be fun.. after the "hard" everquest.. i soon came to understand sitting for 10-15 minutes to regain mana back was not FUN.. it ADDED nothing to gameplay.. Skyrim, combat is stil challangeing, but not impossibly hard as I found in Marrowind and Oblivion if I didnt level my character right.

Game of the YEAR for me.. easily the best RPG i have played in the last 2-3 years. I cant get enough of it and am Already hoping to see expansion packs soon!..

Hmm i must be lucky have

Hmm i must be lucky have killed about 6 bears with no issues, but I must admit i havent been charged.. and I ran into a frost troll first.. that massive regen can make it hard. I hve fought regular old trolls and they are not bad, but teh giant ruins (no spoilers) had 3.. man there is no way.... (at least at level 7... trlls can be kited at least if you need to. I try not use the cheap methods.. kiting.. but its hard to resist when overwhlemed... i have nopticed one GLEARING flaw i didnt notice in the other elder scroll games.. geometry is a monster killer.. sure I could trap a mob behind a table.. but a simple rock, jump up on it and the mob will just look at you if it has no ranged.

Dragons- i agree, so worried my first fight (and if you are silly and bath in its breath, you do die) but if you just avoid and shoot arrows.. or cirlce it .. almost wimps. Ther biggest danger is loot.. dragon bones and scales add up bigtime... and early game you got no place to save um.

Now im wondering about the old Elder scroll "cheats".. light armour is actually better then heavy in the end, my biggest time saver in the early games.. sure it takes a bit till it come into it own, but eliminating 1000 trips to sell loot is worth it. Enchants with bonus potions are almost too UBER.. and the better i get at both will stack it even more.. Im always carring to much crap... I need a house way bad but just cant afford one now. carring so many crafting mats, potions, etc.. cant find enouhg merchants to buy it even.. I'm a bit annoyted aI havent found a health potion recipe yet.. I know "read" but i dont want to look at faqs or help pages. SHould be simple i just ahvent combined the right tuff yet I know.

So far the Felmar are my favorite enemies.. just the right amount of creeeeepppyyy.. nothing new but i hate um and their spitting pets.

and so MANY quests.. im in heaven.

I think this is the best one yet (guess it should be) I am still frustrated byt some "oelder scroll " things... but so far im just sucked in 100%... if it were not for crashs and such.. i wouldnt come out for air..
