I've been reading the reviews out for Human Revolution and must say I'm VERY curious. The critics are raving, and while I'm sure the hype machine has plenty to do with it, these are the same guys that bashed Duke Nukem Forever--which probably had even more hype going for it.

Do any of you guys have it yet? I really can't justify spending $60 for it, but will definitely be interested in playing it once I can get a good bargain.

I've been playing Bioshock 2

I've been playing Bioshock 2 again after getting disgusted with Dead Rising 2's difficulty. I bumped Bioshock 2's diff down to easy, and it's been a lot more enjoyable that way. Now that I've gotten some ADAM and upgrades I'm tempted to bump it back up. It's quite fun to set up a bunch of traps and turrets and then let the Little Sister harvest ADAM.

Im a bit to biesed in my

Im a bit to biesed in my assment and will admit it.. i think you will like it.. I think my run and gun (something i have poked fun at many times) attitude in FPS is getting hte better in me.. This game rewards SKILL and paitents.. somthing i seldom havein FPS.. I like my action, actiony :) of course DE was not marketed that way, so its my own fualt :) Still i like it and it does reward the gameplay it wants quite handsomely. A level that you sneak thoruhg well is quite a rush at the end.

if you do enjoy it.. but someplace at the end want a little more action Check out E.Y.E. Its all the aguments and some crazy stuff wacked out wierd world to boot. But its kinda tough. (never ending enemies).. if you enjoyed doom on Nightmare.. well this might be up your ally. Me im a bit .. lacking, my twitch skills are not up to the task they once where.. but I am enjoying it.

When i was deep in my EOB wanna be hunt (and mentions here) i kept comming across those games.. I got close to buying them, but never did.. When its possible, I would love to see some info/ preview whatever on it.. of course when it can be done so all parties agree it can be let lose on the public :)

i did pick up my first SpiderWeb Software game (steam and its dang sales) after reading about them for years.. And i must say for being a bit low tech its quite fun.. Im a bit lost at times, but overall am having alot of fun with it. I have found several fun games at the wrong time of year.. end of summer, to much to do outside yet.. but with cold comming at least I know I will be stocked up on gaming.

I still haven't received it,

I still haven't received it, damnit. Amazon is usually quick to fill orders, but this time it's taking over a week. I wouldn't be surprised if I get the frosty mugs I ordered yesterday before Human Revolution.

I hope it isn't one of those games like you describe. I *hate* *hate* *HATE* games that force you to re-do lengthy segments just because you screw up. People don't understand that there's a difference between difficulty and frustration level. Super Meat Boy is difficult but not frustrating, because the levels are short and it's no big deal if you die. Dead Rising 2, however, is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING because if you don't do arbitrary things within strict time limits, you're screwed and have to RESTART THE STORY. As much as I like the game, I'm probably going to shelve it unless I can find a cheat code or something to get rid of those stupid ass time limits.

I'll let you know my impressions of Human Revolution as soon as I've had a chance to sit down with it.

I will say that I've been beta testing Rampant Coyote's "Frayed Knights" game, and you wizardry/Might and Magic fans are gonna jump for joy when you see it.

have you got to take a stab

have you got to take a stab at it yet Matt? I just felt i was kinda Harsh on it so was wondering how you found it. My roomate thinks its one of the best games he has played in years.. so.. :)

I liked it quite alot, but have little love for STEALTH games that make you spend 20 minutes sneaking in and when you blow it you have to repeat it. I much prefer gunfights.. Most stealth games seem to have an issue with you "losing" your enemy.. One reasomn I did like Theif and Assisians Creed.. minutes worht of work didnt disappear with a mistake.. you hid and retried (if you could).. DE i seemed to have a problem losing those guys.. I would be rooms away long out of view or hearing distacne and have them still looking activley for me (yes this makes sence, but in a game world, fun is fun). DE already makes Gunfights painfully hard.. so its forces you to stealth, for a game that says I can do both.. it really makes gunplay hard and almost forces stealth.

I did still enjoy it quite a bit, didnt enjoy the hacking part but the only game I have really liked the on is BIOSHOCK. And as i said part of my quick playthrouhg was me abusing some poor AI issues.. I have been meaning to see what the patch did as I had heard it wised um up a bit.

The game world is dang nice, I rally wondr at the time it took to get so detailed.. the first walkthouhg of the labs.. impressive.. and its all gone after a few seconds.. the time it took to do that... touchs like that make a game stand out to me..

I think you will find it a decent length.. I kinda abused the AI once I figured out how dumb it was.. so some hard parts where amzingly easy and I took several shortcuts that the game shouldnt have allowed (or didnt forsee).. its been patched already ( yesterday) to fix some so .. again if you enjoyed the first I believe you will enjoy this one too.

Well its a bit short (yes I

Well its a bit short (yes I completed it, but im a bit of a FPS player) I was never the fan of the original that most where, far to much time spent sitting (thief did the stealth stuff much better back in the old days). I did like the puzzle solve (so to speak).

new one, cool in most ways, decisions appear to be deep but I dint think they effect the game in any way, just the information you get. The story is actually pretty good, one of the better ones i have seen in ages. Overall a very solid entry into the DE game series.. If oyu liked hte first you will like this one.

My only real neagtives was enemy AI. YOu can move boxes and such.. and if you put a simple box in the enemy AI they are .. stumped so to speak.. an elevator where you know guards will come out when an alarm goes off.. stack some boxes in front of it. :) instant wall of STOP

I did hear the patch yesterday maybe fixed this? I played all night so never installed it. I will say i liked it better then the frist one. Not really my type of game, EYE is more interesting to me (but much more buggy and harder).

Big thumbs up if you liked the first one, this one will make you happy Im sure.
