Up until the Wii arrived, my favourite was the Saturn with Virtua Cop 1&2 and Mighty Hits. I didn't own HOTD on Saturn but I hear it was pretty good gameplay-wise even though it was a bit of a rush job re some textures looking like placeholder graphics.

Really though the action is now with the Wii which has the advantage of working with any kind of screen. I have HOTD2&3, HOTD Overkill, Res Evil Umbrella Chronices and Dark Chronicles , Dead Space Extraction and Ghost Squad. All excellent. Even the basic Links Crossbow Training has enough gameplay in there to make it worth while tracking down.

i was cynical about buying a piece of plastic on which to mount the remote but it does add to the experience. Even some of the FPSs released for the Wii such as Black Ops provide a new and excellent experience when the remote and nunchuck are mounted on a gun extension.

I have also heard this from several others where I have posted this. Guess I need to get a Wii someday!

Question about the Wii

Folks,

How is the accuracy of the Wii-mote+nunchuk clipped into the gun housing? Any tracking issues? Any weird hiccups? I've never gotten my hands on the set-up to try it, and was very curious about how smoothly it works.

Thanks,

Thanks,

As everyone has said before me, the Wii remote, with or without a housing, works great in light gun games.

The PS Move with the Sharp Shooter housing is stunning as well, and in fact in some ways is even better, though there are fewer light gun games for it.

The only one left out of the bunch is Microsoft with Kinect, though I do enjoy "Child of Eden", which is probably all Kinect will ever be able to do.
