Always use the best video inputs your TV can handle and you can afford. The AV cable should cost under $10 at a Radio Shack. Sega CD might work with S-Video, but do not quote me on that...

I certainly recommend the A/V cable. It results in a slightly sharper picture with less interference. RF is always the worst possible connection option. Interference is especially a problem when using the Genesis with the CD add-on. Using the metal connector plate might help a bit.

Also, any Genesis power supply will work fine with the Sega CD, though each does have a specific power supply with very minor variations. Don't worry too much about it, it should be easy to find. There are a ton on eBay, for instance.
