Sometimes I get curious what games everyone is playing these days. I don't buy and play new games as often as I'd like so I often find myself replaying games I've already beaten or tracking down older games for low prices.
Right now I'm playing:
- Hexen (the old doom engine game from Raven Software)
- Another play through of Dragon Age: Origins in anticipation of the sequel
- Duels of the Planeswalkers (magic the gathering game on XBL)
- Half-Life 2 Episode 2 (I play through the entire half-life 2 saga every year)
I'm considering picking up Fallout 3 and playing that to sate my need for Skyrim. It's about time I played it.
I just finished Bulletstorm. Awesome and different FPS.
Just started Homefront. Really gets you pissed off at the North Koreans! Guess the game won't be released in that region.
I'm also on the next to last chapter on Dead Space 2, but have got myself into a situation where I have almost no ammo and there are at least 20 necromorphs between myself and the area I need to be in.
I really want Dragon Age 2, however, I can't get through DA1, and I've tried to get through it at least 4 times.
Cheers
I've been wanting Mario Galaxy 2 for awhile. Well, that and Dragon Age 2. Anybody playing DA 2 yet? I heard they've stripped out most of the interaction and ratched up the action. Sigh.
Have got back into Mario Galaxy - 116 stars and only 4 to go. Some of the purple coin levels are murderous - must be among the toughest platform challenges around. I'll probably leave it for a while before embarking on clearing 120 stars with Luigi.....then I have Mario Galaxy 2 to contend with.
You must beat it before LA Noire comes out!
Well clok if you get sick of looking at all those 360 games waiting around to be played you could always mail them to Carmine's House! Haha. Did you finish Red Dead Redemption yet? Let me guess, things got slow in Mexico and you put it down and you haven't played it since...
And how does Dawn of War II compare to the original? I loved the first game. My favorite RTS ever actually.
I've never played a boxing game but Fight Night Champion sounds kind of... awesome. Story with brothers dying, RPG elements, and essentially a string of epic boss fights?
DOW II- Sadly the original DOW Dark Crusade was great. DOWII (no expansions) is pretty good, you work with much smaller groups (4 at most normally) its more about the abilities of those troops and how you build them (skill tree's), how you position them and such. The two expansions for it just basicly take the hardest missions from the first (non stop enemies till you press ahead enough to stop um). DOW II is good, the Expansions are a bit iffy.
RD- havent turned it on again, to much other stuff, I do plan on getting abck to it as its one of the Best console Games I have played in awhile.
Right now I'm playing.... "Mayhem Matt." :-) Well, just getting ready to boot up the new version for the first time.... :-)

Well, the brother doesn't actually die (as far as I know - still haven't beaten the champ), but it's about as thematically adult of a story as you can get (racism, prison brutality, violence, foul language, etc.), though it's also obviously rife with every possible boxing and boxing movie cliche. The story mode is very, very short, though. If you're good at the boxing part of it, it should only take you about four hours to finish. Naturally that's just a small part of a game loaded with historical boxers from every weight class and also the ability to create your own and try to get him through the ranks, etc. (as well as online play). I'm something of a connoisseur of boxing games and I can genuinely say if you have any interest in them whatsoever, this is one of the best ever.
I've got the code for the new Nancy Drew iPod game, so I'll probably be giving that a go soon. Also slowly working my way through Metriod Prime 3 on the Wii. I'm trying to avoid getting sucked back into WoW or Civ 5.
When did you get an iPod?
