I just swapped my 09 Hyundai Sonata for a 2011 Ford Fiesta hatchback, which is the same yellow as shown here: http://www.edmunds.com/ford/fiesta/2011/road-test1.html . Anyway, there were two big reasons for me getting it, one was going from the 32MPG of the Hyundai to the 40MPG of the Fiesta (my five-day-a-week commute is around 43 miles each way). The other was the nifty Ford Sync option: http://www.ford.com/technology/sync/ . Anyone have Ford Sync? As I understand it it will be quite a bit of setup, but it seems nifty for those of us around here into technology. I also understand it's friendly to regular updates. I guess I need to get on some of the forums dedicated to it and see if there are any cool ways to really make use of it, particularly when integrated with my iPhone 4...

Holy crap, the Sync setup

Holy crap, the Sync setup interface is horrendous. This will take a few weeks to acclimate to. Lots of power, but not accessible...

Both my freinds (i think i

Both my freinds (i think i may only have 2 friends who can afford new cars nowdays) with it have had issues, one has had warrenty work 2X and the other hasnt bothered to get it fixed (and im sure its notthe norm). but I do know its considered pretty sweet. If you did any reading (and Im sure you did) its got a pretty good follwoing and has people excited about its options. I know when i checked it out when i was buying my new car i thought it was pretty cool. Nothing I would get unless the car I picked had it.. and Im not a ford guy.. But from what i read (again when i picked up a new car last fall) you picked a pretty niec car, mileage and from my reading not a bad car to boot. After pricing cars and looking at taking a 1/3 or more hit for driving it off lot (you may be able to write most of that off in taxes maybe?). I just wnet with a couple year old car with low miles (rental, took a small gambel there with under 20,000) One think i would say.. good luck with 40 MPG :) most the Hypermilling sites list closer to 30-35 if you drive mello at 75.. maybe your speed limit is less ( that will help alot). Still a good bet with gas going up.. I wish i had stuck with my MPG before all else motto when I got mine.. I get about 28 MPG at 75 (lots better then my old car a 03 Caddy STS... but heck that car was like nothing else for a long drive... if i didnt do 90% of my driving in town I would have kept it).

Yep looks like a pretty nice ride , gas milage, nice ride (from my reading) and hauls alot for a small car, oh and your sync :) let us know what you think of it in a year.
