Did you get anything good? :)

Family Guy seasons 1-9 boxset
Remy Martin champagne cognac
Just purchased my Xmas present (for myslef) got another 5870 Video card so I can SLI my other one. And it came with a free 1TB HD (newegg today). Also heard from an Ex GF and we are talking again (its a good thing!) so while the weather kept me from family its maybe not going to be to bad (not that it was, but not being with family is a bit of a downer) a christmas after all...
FaceTime won't cost extra. usage is free and it will only work over wifi.
I know FaceTime only works over WiFi - we've done it - but don't we have to initiate a call with each other? I'm saying I'm concerned about International calling costs for both phone and texts. I'm not sure how that works. I don't have an International calling plan.

Well, it's definitely a consideration, Flare. Our daughters are 6 (November 2010) and 4 (September 2010). My oldest daughter has her own laptop, which she uses fairly frequently to play games like Webkins and the occasional regular game, like Braid. My youngest was JUST allowed a DS again after destroying a few hand me downs (and admittedly mostly broken ones) before when she was much younger. Their two personalities are very different. Amelie is very focused and into quiet things, while Olivia is all over the place and very energetic. They both seem to enjoy their DSi's a great deal, but like with the computer, I do think some stricter rules will need to be in place sooner rather than later. I'm giving them a little bit of a break now because they're off from school this week, so I'm hoping that when they go back to a regular school schedule they'll have less time for their DSi's and less interest in playing it constantly. But yeah, it's definitely a concern.
By the way, it's awesome that your kids did Kirby's Epic Yarn. Mine still struggle with traditional controls a great deal at times.
Nothing myself. I spent all my money buying presents for my daughters!
Our daughters' main gifts were two pink DSi's. They play the things constantly. They of course got the usual Littlest Pet Shop stuff and various other items from extended family.
You know... my daughters are the same age as yours I think (turning 6 and 4 early next year); yet my wife and I have been on the fence about buying them videogames.
They certainly like to play them (I'm still in shock that them two together managed to finish (yes, FINISH) Kirby Epic Yarn without any help from me.
We're still not sure about buying them something they could potentially slave to (of course, parenting is key). Maybe next Christmas I won't be able to help it and they will like a 3DS, PSP2 or maybe even an iPod Touch :)
One Santa has been very generous!
All I received was two boxes of chocolates. Everything else has been caught up in all the bad weather/snow. Can't wait for the postie to arrive tomorrow, be like a delayed Christmas!
