The Humble Indie Bundle #2 - Another Amazing Deal for Windows, Macintosh and Linux Gamers!

Bill Loguidice's picture

Back in May of this year, I talked about the great deal that was The Humble Indie Bundle, where you could name your own price for a collection of great indie games for Windows, Macintosh and Linux, and actually own them free and clear (read: No DRM!). The best part? Proceeds went to the charity of your choice. Now, The Humble Indie Bundle #2 is out, and, luckily, it works the same amazing way, just with a new selection of games: Braid (one of my favorites on the Xbox 360 and a strong case for videogames as art!), Cortex Command, Machinarium, Osmos, and Revenge of the Titans. So, what are you waiting for? Whip out that Paypal, Amazon or Google account and get gaming!

Something worth while for

Something worth while for sure. Childs play is one charity I like, and have gave to before. I know I picked up World Of Goo when they did a Pay what you lie deal (sad how little people pay if not forced.. but err... nobody forced um to offer the deal).

I'm in for one..

Cool.

Thanks for the heads up, I got the first Bundle and have barely played it but it was great and well worth it
not to mention a good cause! I just ordered this bundle too, maybe I will have time to actually try them someday
soon but if not at least I got it.

I already have most of these

I already have most of these games but I picked it up anyway... if for no other reason than Childs Play and EFF (one of my annual donations anyway).

Some quick impressions:

Braid: Love this game. Quirky but fun time shifting platform game.. The original release had a lot of issues with crashing.. but the current version has addressed the stability issues. Highly recommended.

Cortex Command: Haven't tried this one yet but I saw an early pre-release demo reviewed a while back.. heavily over the top.. in a good way.

Machinarium: Very fun stylized adventure puzzler. One of the stars of this package, imho.

Osmos: Fun... and infuriating. But mostly fun.

Revenge of the Titans: Haven't tried this game yet.. It's still not 100% complete at the moment. Basically Puppy's take on the RTS genre. Anything Puppy makes gets high marks in my book. These guys are a class act in the indie scene. For more fun try Titan Attacks! which is a great glowy pixel take on Space Invaders.

All good!

I can't see a bad game in the bundle. Cortex Command and Revenge of the Titans are the two I'm most interested in trying out, I'm expecting to be wowed by Osmos, and Machinarium looks to be a fun and challenging adventure game. Braid could be the sleeper of the bundle, but not a bad game by any means.

I had an opportunity to

I had an opportunity to install all the games to my laptop tonight, and, unlike the first indie bundle where I only kept one game active, all of these games seem like winners and are presently active. They did real good this time around.

There is a rumor they will be

There is a rumor they will be sneaking another game into this bundle as a thank you.. So keep your link email. They also hit 1,000,000 so they are giving away free codes to activate the bundle under Steam and Desura (again.. you can find these on your link page)

Me too, Clok. I already purchased the first bundle, but it's truly classy of them to continue to provide value to their supporters. If anyone does any pirating of any game in either bundle, they should be SHOT, as there's no excuse not to support these guys 100% past, present and future.

Hit the nail on the head

Hit the nail on the head "truly classy of them " agree 100%. In a way its beyond that even. Letting the customer chose a price when you know the majority of them will pay almost nothing. And then giving um more for that nothing.

The STEAM keys where awsome too, I need to get that done before they are all gone.
