Season 1 was good, Season 2 has been AMAZING, truly some of the best fantasy/D&D-style stuff EVER on TV (and arguably, even the movies). I caught up with season 2 of "Legend of the Seeker" last night with Christina via Netflix on the Xbox 360 (we were behind a few episodes due to our vacation). It's a shame that this Sunday's season finale Part 2 of 2 will likely be this amazing show's series finale. It's a crazy world where dreck like "Two and a Half Men" gets to live on indefinitely and degenerates like Charlie Sheen get rewarded with $2 million an episode in salary, when ENITRE episodes of Legend of the Seeker cost $500,000 less than that to make and are twice as long, with movie quality production values to boot.

Oh well, at least I'll have the books to look forward to starting, even though they're different from the TV series...

Ah! For some reason I missed that part about viewing it on the 360 - doh!
I'm a bit boobed out with watching Lost, Battlestar Galactica, and Buffy pretty regularly. At least we've finished all The Office episodes left on instant. Would you say Seeker is better than any of those?

It's different. They're all different. Legend of the Seeker is loosely based on the "Wizard's First Rule" series of books. Season 1 is loosely based off of book 1, and Season 2 is loosely based off of book's 2 and 3. It was not renewed for a Season 3, sadly, but each season is self contained, so it's not as much of an issue as it could have been. Each season has a big, complete story arc, sort of like Buffy.

Legend of the Seeker is the perfect realization of TV/movie Dungeons and Dragons, so take that as you will. Season 2 was even better for many reasons, but one of the reasons was that the adventuring party was bigger.
