My 2 Part Harmony Cart video!

Rob Daviau's picture

PART 1: Note, the captured gameplay is dark in part one but still gets the idea across, the second video though I demo many more games and turned up the video brightness during editing!

PART 2: Much brighter Gameplay fixed during editing, many games demonstrated in this one!

Alright folks here I demonstrate the Harmony Cart in use on the system YOU voted for!
And the winner is (as of MARCH 25th 2010 / 12:06PM) ATARI 7800! It was close between
that and the Colecovision w/expansion module # 1 with the SEARS Video Arcade Trailing!
RESULTS: SEARS VIDEO ARCADE = 9 / Colecovision = 14 / 7800 = 16.

Anyway, I demonstrate using/playing Atari 2600 ROMS on the 7800 using my
recently acquired HARMONY CART. It is truly a marvelous devices well worth the $$$$$$.

NOTE: I DO NOT demonstrate or inform where to obtain the roms nor do I show how to
transfer roms to the SD card (see Linuxfanman's excellent video for that!).
What I show here is simple a loaded Harmony Cart inserted
into the console, loading the games menu and selecting, running and playing a few
of the titles. Hope you enjoy and as always please rate, comment and subscribe!

More details (FROM HARMONY WEBSITE):

The standard edition includes just the cartridge and a plain paper manual. You supply
your own SD card and USB-mini B cable for programming and BIOS updates.

The deluxe edition includes a color printed manual, a USB-mini B cable, and a 2GB SD card
loaded with the programming software, drivers, online manual and homebrew games that you are
encouraged to try such that you may one day purchase them from the AtariAge store.

Harmony cartridges will ship in a USPS small flat rate priority box. Cost is $11.50 to
Canada and Mexico and $13.50 elsewhere. If you are ordering one standard edition cartridge
and would like it shipped in a bubble mailer, let me know and I will refund $6.50.
Deluxe editions or multiple cartridges will only ship in the priority box.

We build cartridges to order, and try to keep enough supplies on hand so that your cartridge

I have one of these too

I have one of these too (deluxe version), though I have yet to crack mine open (of course). AtariAge is a great place to get individual ROMs, though Atari 2600 ROMs are available pretty much everywhere. Thanks for posting this!

It's awesome!

Thanks Bill! I to bought the deluxe version, I wanted the full package as well to support efforts like this to hopefully encourage more such products. Very happy with the end result, I am always happy with products that enhance old original hardware, the perfect blend of retro and modern so cool!

I got the standard edition -

I got the standard edition - cheapskate that I am. I also asked for the PAL50 firmware preloaded which they were kind enough to do for me.

I have only used it with my 6 switch woody - haven't tried it with my 7800 yet.

Had a blast playing all my favourites - my boxed games can sit on the shelf looking good while the Harmony does all the work. It's an excellent device and is really easy to use. Highly recommended. I finally got a chance to try out Starpath games with out too - the supercharger was ultra rare in PAL land. There's a rather nice breakout style game using paddles called Fireball which is worth checking out - you really need to experience paddle games on the original hardware.
