By the way, the book is only $11.00 right now at Amazon with their standard free shipping offer, so combine that with the rebate and you could potentially only pay $6 plus the cost of a stamp and envelope! Does the rebate work for kindle ebooks?

I was looking to buy the kindle edition, would the rebate apply in this case?

I checked with the Dummies people and the rebate applies to their paper books, audio products, and ebooks, like for the Kindle, as long as they meet the qualifications in the rebate form (principally being $6.99 or more), including having a valid receipt.
