I just finished watching Frontline's, Digital Nation - Life on the Virtual Frontier, documentary on PBS HD, and I must say, that even though there were a few elements of it I didn't agree with or like (naturally), the two creators, Douglas Rushkoff and Rachel Dretzin, did a superb job. Definitely check it out if you get a chance, as it does an excellent job of breaking down digital life and its many effects, both active and potential. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/digitalnation/
Thanks Bill. My DVR caught it but the PBS station messed up, I think, it started with the *last* 15-20 minutes of the show, then another show started for a few minutes, then Frontline started from the beginning.
I almost can't believe how the army set up their own video arcade for 14 year old kids to play war games until they are old enough to be recruited. Where I live (in Canada) I've never even seen an army recruiter, but we still have a never ending parade of coffins returning from Afghanistan back up the highway.
