There are only a few rules we ask you to keep in mind in regards to our discussion forums:
1 - If you want to comment about an editorial or article, it's best to do so directly with that editorial or article, rather than in the forums.
2 - In keeping with the professional atmosphere, try to keep the language clean. Giving what you write a quick proofread and following the basic rules of the English language will also be appreciated by all!
3 - If you're going to argue with someone, don't make it personal.
4 - Keep an open mind. You may love system "x" and hate system "y", but nothing is perfect or all bad and every subject should be open to intelligent opinion and debate.

I like the new digs. Should be a nice place to hang out. (Yes I still lurk quite a bit.) Drupal is an interesting program. I assume it has caused less headaches than e107?
The new site looks awesome! I really like how well everything is integrated.

Excellent idea!!!!
Sounded kind of weird to have a Blog area that was controlled entirely by the Admins to determine if it was posted or not.
The site is taking shape nicely....
Found the additional "my account" section as well and see alot more AA'ers are posting here as opposed to the old site.
Cheers
Yeah, I think we should default it to new posts first. I think it's not intuitive enough for everyone to immediately see how to do that. Otherwise, I think we should leave the configuration options in in case the end user does wish to change things to some other format/sorting.
Yes, the default setting is flat expanded, with old posts first. However, these can be easily changed with the "Comment Viewing Options" bar that appears below each set of comments. I could remove this option bar if folks are having problems or accidentally setting it.
I thought Matt might have defaulted everyone to Threaded and New Posts first, but perhaps he didn't. If not, it would be a good idea if we did, as I think that's the superior way to navigate the posts.
Found the fix for this myself!!! Just changed my viewing options to expanded threaded list and it works OK.
Just one technical point Bill...
Clicking on an item in "recent comments" navigates you to the thread OK - but from the beginning of the thread, and not the comment referred to in the nav bar (or even the page it appears in)..Could that be sorted?
Matt is back, and the site looks good. ;)
