Incredible game!

The atmosphere in the game is just amazing. It is a very well executed game. The way the ants move around feels very organic.
The Edge article Bill mentions above really is a must-read!

Only ever tried the Spectrum

Only ever tried the Spectrum version. It was a breathtaking looking game at the time. That's quite a good Edge article - I'm sure I have that issue around as I've been a subscriber for years.

Yeah, naturally it's more or

Yeah, naturally it's more or less unheard of in the US. Have you tried the only other version, the C-64 version? How would you compare it, Davy? It seems to me the Spectrum version definitely took good advantage of the platform.

It's funny that this article tries to spin it as survival horror, but I really don't get that impression: http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/the-making-of-ant-attack

This is quite a famous game

This is quite a famous game in the UK. The 8bit micro scene threw up all sorts of gems like this. Lot of the dev houses of today started during the era. For example a company called "Ultimate Play The Game" started up back then writing great games for the Spectrum (Atic Atak, Knightlore etc). This company eventually became RARE.
