Due to the high costs for someone in the US, I need to pick and choose the issues of Retro Gamer magazine I purchase. There is supposed to be a picture of the Atari 8-bit, Dandy, from my collection in one of the articles, perhaps on Gauntlet, and a review of our book, "Vintage Games". I just have no clue when (or if) these will actually hit, and Retro Gamer does not have an online TOC.

It looks like Issue 65 is out or just about, with the Metroid cover. If anyone can check that and/or Issues 64 (and possibly 63), that would be truly appreciated. Thanks!

Wow, thanks Davy! I'll have

Wow, thanks Davy! I'll have to order a copy now. I wonder if that Dandy already ran in a previous issue (one or two issues back) or will be in a future one? Anyway, nice of them to mention the book!

Picked up issue 65 today.

Picked up issue 65 today. The only thing I see is a brief mention of the book titled "Retro Booty". Among stuff like a space invaders alarm clock, the new plug&play megadrive/genesis, a metroid t-shirt and a Blaze arcade stick are two books - "Racing the Beam" and Bill and Matt's Vintage Games - "A brilliant book by Bill Loguidice and Matt Barton that looks at a range of c lassic influential games from Space Invaders and Castle Wolfenstein to The Sims and Dance Dance Revolution and examines how they have all helped to shape the industry as it stands to today. Essential reading."

No sign of anything else - though I have been known to only see stuff after a 2nd or 3rd trawl through a magazine as I tend to "scan and repeat" magazines.

Have you contacted the forum mods on the retro-gamer site?

I have also noticed you can buy a DVD with issues 31-55 - faithfully reproduced for viewing/printing at any size. There's a database on the disc too for searching. Sounds good. £20 + p&p in the UK.

I'll keep an eye out Bill.

I'll keep an eye out Bill. Normally I pick this magazine up when I see but I haven't spotted it for a few months. If I go to a proper newsagent I'll probably see it.
