Did a lot of capturing in .mov format

I am flexible in the capturing - if needed I can re-capture stuff too...
Been capturing all through last night. Being tired wrecks the gameplay ;-)

Not yet, though that's probably a good thing. I need to work all weekend on Wii Fitness for Dummies and squeeze in video capture time for the documentary.

The cart does also provide a RAM expansion!

As the cart does provide a RAM expansion as well it will be a breeze to hook up a 1540 or 1541 disk drive or c2n tapedeck and try out programs that require more than 3.5Kb of RAM.

It has PAL and NTSC compatibility so it is good for Vic-20 users all around the world! Like Bill said, a no brainer.

There's also a tutorial video out on the website!

At any rate, definitely a no-brainer for anyone with a real Vic-20 sitting around.

I'll be curious and will definitely try that out to see what differences there are. The disadvantage to anything on disk versus cartridge or cassette is that naturally the DOS requires extra RAM, which is why most disk games (regardless of platform) require more memory than their cartridge or cassette equivalents. One advantage disks had over cartridges back then of course was there was generally more program space available versus what would have been an overly expensive cartridge capacity equivalent. On a side note, the Coleco Adam had an interesting scenario where the digital datapacks (semi-proprietary cassette tapes) were higher capacity than the 5.25" disks for its disk drive, causing scaled back disk versions of the datapack games.

And I agree it's a no-brainer for Vic-20 owners. It's actually a very good price, particularly since it offers every RAM expansion option in addition to everything else. It's a collector's dream for ultra-convenience.

(thanks to Mark for adding that video in - I wasn't aware there was one!)

It's a shame there's no Ultima: Escape from Mt. Drash on there, though it's not a major loss... I can't think of anything else missing.

(Drash's omission may have something to do with a decision by collector's not to release a TAP version, only a version for use in emulators)

Awesome! What number did you get? Funny and sad that we'll probably get this sooner than the Pandora. :-( I'm still waiting on my USB Atari joystick from last year as well. :-( :-(
