Alien Mind for the ZX81/Sinclair/Timex Computers (16K)Alien Mind for the ZX81/Sinclair/Timex Computers (16K)French programmer ANDRE is at it again, creating yet more games for the quaint ZX81/Sinclair/Timex systems, which had 1KB, 2KB and 16KB configurations, limited black and white graphics, and no sound. Despite all this, these were one of the first truly low-priced personal computers, selling millions and eventually being marketed under the Timex banner in the US. Subsequent systems would see huge success outside of the US, but not here (the Timex 2068, while a favorite of mine, was too little, too late). In any case, check out ANDRE's message below and visit his Website for his programs and the emulator to play them on:

"BOMB", the first game of a series of "5 ARCADE GAMES" to be
released in the coming months, is available now.
In June get ready to play "LASER".
All those games run in only 1KB of ram. Get the flavor of the
eighties with the minimal graphics we were used to. Available also is
is the print-out of the game.
Look for the HI-DEF version of "BOMB" on the French web site to be
be available soon.
If you like the games, let me know.

Goodby(t)e, ANDRE***

Transfering Timex Software from Audio Cassettes to Audio CD's

Hi Andre:

Please let me know if you know or do not know how to transfer Timex software from the original audio software cassettes to audio CD's. I have tried to make transfers from Timex original software audio cassettes to audio CD's. I have varied my methods as well. The playback from the original Timex software audio cassette and the audio CD sound alike to me but the Timex computers will not Load the software.

Thanks in advance for your time and help.
