Throbbing headache! Throbbing headache when trying to run the PC version of Gears of War. It crashes when you try to start it on any computer. How come? Read more below...

As of Wednesday 28th of january 2009 the PC version of Gears of War crashes the moment you start it up. This is because of an expired security certificate of the copy right protection scheme.

Developer Epic states on their forums that they are working on solving the problem together with Microsoft. Until a definite solution to the problem arrives the fault can be circumvented by changing the clock of the PC to an earlier date - before Wednesday the 28th - so that the certificate becomes 'valid' again.
