Epyx's 1983 Gateway to Apshai, box back from the Commodore 64 version shown, streamlined many of the concepts from games like Rogue, enabling a quality port and play on the Coleco ColecoVision console (it was also available for the Atari 8-bit series of computers). Mattel's Intellivision was another early console that received a spriritual Rogue-like in the form of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Cartridge (1982).
