
Today created a triple boot Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 system - read this to find out how and how I will compare the 3 systems in a real world situation. Mind you it's all on the same machine using the same software. Each Window is installed on a separate hard-drive with a similar speed.
At first I tried installing it on a Virtual Machine VM ware, this worked flawless. Then I proceeded to install it next to Windows XP and Vista on a backup system I had lying around. Funny thing is that Windows 7 seems to support my Nvidia 6600 GT AGP graphics card better than Windows Vista on the same machine.

Make sure you have a solid image backup before you begin such an adventure. Otherwise it could result in tears and agony....

well I guess you should be allright if you install the operating systems in that order. Personally I see no point in installing both Vista and 7 on your system though.
