wsj: How Sony inadvertently helped a competitor and lost position in the videogame market.

According to this "Wall Street Journal" article, Sony inadvertently was a contributor to the Microsoft XBox 360 success! They poured millions of dollars into the co-development of the "Cell" processor with IBM, only to have Microsoft steal some of that technology with their own collusion with IBM!

The article references a book, "The Race for a New Game Machine," written by two IBM engineers who were instrumental in developing the "Cell" architecture for Sony, and inadvertently, for Microsoft!
