I am currently playing Simon 4: Chaos Happens. I haven't finished the game yet, so no full review yet, but I can already see after a few hours of play that this is *definitely* a must-see game for anyone who likes the LucasArts-style point-and-click adventures. I even like it better than the past Simon games, which weren't bad at all. The graphics are sharp, the wit is keen, the interface is tight, the puzzles are fun...

Go ahead and order this one if you like adventure games. I can almost guarantee you'll like it if you enjoy games like Sam & Max or Day of the Tentacle.

I checked around for where you could buy this--had no luck. Anyone found a link to a store yet??? It'd be a TRAGEDY if this game wasn't widely available, because it's the best point-and-click I've seen in quite awhile.

The last couple of Sam & Max

The last couple of Sam & Max games are 3D. One reason they went with 3D (they have claimed this in interviews) is it's actually cheaper & faster. For one thing you can change camera angles and not have to re-draw anything. And the Sam & Max games are on really tight deadlines.

A pretty long time.

A pretty long time. :P

Really, though, the 3D makes no difference from a gameplay perspective. It's still point and click. It's just that the characters look and move more realistically (if it's done right. I hate that "tank" movement where they have to rotate before moving forward. Looks stupid). Simon 4 doesn't do that. The boob work is also incredible.

3D Graphics?!?!

I went to the page and realized that "Simon 4" uses 3D graphics! When did the switch from 2D to 3D happen in the graphical adventure genre? Other than a single Sierra game who's name I don't recall (it wasn't well-reviewed), pretty much every GA seemed stuck in the 2D genre. How long have I been out of the loop?

Yeah, I know. That really

Yeah, I know. That really surprised me. This would be a great game for downloading, too. I'm sad to say a search for the game netted more results from torrents than official channels! These guys had better get on the ball.

What a shame that you can't

What a shame that you can't just buy & download from the publisher's web site.
