Dungeons & Desktops

I have been reading Matt's book, Dungeons & Desktops and must say I have never had so much fun reading a book. This must be why they taught reading and writing in school. Between the overload of nostalgia (did I spell that right?) and the trove of games you probably never heard of, this book is a must have.

I am halfway through with the book though and discovered one serious flaw: IT ENDS. Matt, would you happen to be writing a similar book on the history of computer strategy games? That would be an awesome addition.

Thanks for such a great book!

Well, the local bookstores didn't have it, so I'm going to have to do the online puchase thing. Do you guys get "credit" if I click the link here on AA and order it?

Buying D&D online.

Understandable, but I must say, I use Amazon for pretty much everything I can. Never an issue and a wonderful return policy. If you're going to trust anyone online, it would be them.

Outrageous Prices!

Did you know that "Books-a-Million" is offering USED copies of "Dungeons and Desktops" for anywhere between $60 and $130?!?!?!

Here's a direct link to the used "Dungeons and Desktops" book page, but I don't know if it will work on your end...

Haha

Wow!!! Thanks so much for these kind words, RetroC64. I can see we must have similar tastes when it comes to games and books. :)

I have very good news for you. Right now Bill Loguidice and I are hard at work on a brand new book, this time one on the best games ever made. We're blogging about it on this site as we work, so stay tuned for more developments. It will be full color with lots of screenshots, and, not to be bragging or anything, but I'm sure anyone who loves games as much as we do will want a copy.

Stay tuned!
