I just read that there's a review of Dungeons & Desktops in PC Gamer, but I don't have the magazine and not sure where to get it. If anyone does have it, can you please let me know about the review? It's by someone named Desslock, apparently. Is it positive or negative?

I still buy some gaming magazines because I have no wireless and notebook to read something when I'm in the bathroom :P

Well, I saw the review, and

Well, I saw the review, and it's somewhat disappointing and even unfair. He says the book is "neither well written nor well edited," which I frankly think is unfounded and unjustified criticism. He does compliment the comprehensiveness, but overall I don't think it's a very flattering review. I guess it's probably better to have it, though, since at least this way PC Gamer readers may learn about the book who wouldn't have otherwise.

I know that authors have to develop a thick skin for this sort of thing, but damn. I wish people could appreciate all the work that went into it and not mind so badly if I didn't necessarily agree with their personal favorite list.

Yeah, I do, but haven't had a convenient chance to go there yet. Guess I'll make a special trip today.

they still make gaming magazines? I thought magazines had a 6 month lead time... in internet time that makes them 6 years late to the party.

Hope you find a copy matt. Not got a B&N near you?
