Charlton Heston dies!

Charlton Heston died of unspecified causes at age 84! The actor has left a great legacy in the countless movies he played in and although he wasn't the greatest actor, he was one of the great movie-icons and he will be missed.

(very bad comment): Let's hope his death wasn't because of some fast moving metal object penetrating his skin....

Yes, his death was sad to me. I really loved his acting in so many movies, and his voice was magnificent. If you haven't seen Planet of the Apes, I highly recommend it (the original, not the remake).

He was cool on many levels and an ass others. Another very nuanced fellow much like Clarke...

Love him or hate him a legend has passed! On a related note since being
disappointed with I AM LEGEND, I been wanting to go back and re-watch

First, Gary Gigax, then Clarke, now Helston... 2008 is really a bad year!

Edit: do you remember Helston's cameo in "Wayne's World 2" as the "good actor"?? :)
