So what is everyone's new year's resolutions?

I'm thinking that mine will be making a better effort to stay organized and stop on procrastinating on important stuff. I also want to make more frequent contributions to Armchair Arcade and make sure the book proposal Bill and I are working on goes through smoothly. I think it'd also be nice if we could tap into some of those other opportunities we've been discussing (PC World, etc.)

I also want to check for updates for this site (Drupal) as well as my Tikiwiki, and also check to see if there are any cool mods or plugins that might spruce things up a bit. Of course, I'd like to stay on top of my exercise program, though I must admit I've been neglecting that lately in favor of christmas candy!!!

What about you guys?

Getting married and having a good marriage!

New year's resolutions are overshadowed (in a good way) by all sorts of life-events that are in store for me the coming year:
Getting married to Elise on the 5th of February 2008 - it's all I can think about this new year, besides prevent myself from getting too stressed. Graduating and finally becoming a fully capable psychiatrist this summer and buying a house in France (I'm not moving there, but will be there a lot).

New Year's Resolutions

I want to finish my vintage CRPG this year... I've been working on it off and on since 2005. Also lose some weight. And get a girlfriend. And full-time work instead of contracting. Hm, I should make a list... :)

Stress!

I need to lose weight as well. Sitting in front of a computer screen all day will do that to you. Stress made me go for the vending machine snacks too often. I need to get back in shape in 2008. I don't need to lose much, about 20 pounds, but it's bothering me. I plan on eating more fiber... to fill me up and not feel so hungry all the time. I'll also go back swimming at least twice a week... (which will help me reduce stress!)

Thanks, Frank. AA will always be here as long as Matt and I are alive and kicking, so no worries (and let's not forget Mark!). That gives us what, another 60 or 70 years or so? ;-)

Well, like the rest of you, I want to continue my exercise, and/or, diet progression. I've managed, over the past year and a half, to get down to 187 from 228. I'd like to get down to about 175-180, but who's counting a few pounds. It's really tough this time of year with the wife and all the relatives leaving around cookies, candy, cake, etc.!!! I've been relatively good though as we're sticking to the South Beach Diet, eating mostly wheat products and very little red meat.

I'd also like to read a bit more this year as opposed to playing "all the time" (gaming I mean). I really love playing games on the 360 though and I believe I'd count as being obcessed about it. There are some sports-related books I'd like to read, especially since I got some of them for Xmas. There is precious little time though as I spend alot of time running around after our 3 year old. My evening is taken up with playing games!!!

The site is great Matt, Bill, and the rest of you all that keep it up and running. My hope is that it will stay up and flourish as it has in the past. Keep up the great work!!

Cheers/Frank

Speaking of clue books, I recently picked up a second copy of Shay Adams' classic "Quest for Clues" because it came with "Quest for Clues III". I always loved these and in my opinion these are the way to make hint books. They each cover a ton of games and tell you everything you need to know in an entertaining manner. I plan on getting the other books in the series when I get lucky and can get them for a good price.

Good choice :) They are good books. Well the first 4 are anyway, the later ones in the series, the smaller sized books are not as good. The two "Book of Adventures" are good also. As I posted in the xmas thread, I'm still chuffed with getting a first print run copy of the Ultima III cluebook.

Ive decided after a couple more acquisitions, to kick the clue book buying habit. Need to stop collecting old rpg clue books.

I really need to exercise more but its hard over the winter.

So many things to pick/do/etc...

Realistically who knows :)

I'd LOVE more time in the day! I'd love more time to sleep in the morning too rather than being woken up by our 1 year old and not too long after that having to deal with a grumpy-in-the-morning 3 year old!
