Hey, guys, just a heads-up, the second article in the series from the book, this one on the GCE/Milton Bradley Vectrex, has been posted by Gamasutra: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/3117/a_history_of_gaming_platforms...
If you're interested, as a special bonus, here are four images they chose not to include in the article:

04 - The color overlay for Spinball.

09 - Armor Attack in action, with color overlay.

13 - Not just the domain of modern consoles anymore, the Vectrex now has its own high quality, limited edition custom skin from Michele Fiori based on the homebrew Protector and Y.A.S.I. games.
The next one up will be the Apple II, which I think will be the best yet. Enjoy!

Vectrex Arcade Sticks
I don't like the joystick that much and I would love to be able to use one of those Arcade Joysticks like there are for other consoles and PC but to my knowledge there isn't a version for the Vectrex.
There have been one-offs and of course Sega Genesis arcade stick conversions but yeah, I don't think anything produced in quantity. Most controllers produced in quantity have been Dual Shock 2 conversions and third party Sega Genesis pad conversions

Great machine - I have two!
Great machine, I own two! I remember how I was amazed by the Vectrex version of Scramble - the way the vectors glowed on the screen so much unlike the pixellated Atari 2600 and Videopac/Odessey2 look.
