Online Storage and Retrieval Options with Public Access - Thoughts?

I thought www.myotherdrive.com would be my answer to free online storage without any notable limitations and public access (like for AAers). Unfortunately, it seems the Java-based application is a bit buggy and I simply find it unusable. Mozy.com is an alternative, but it's a private solution that doesn't allow any type of public access.

Obviously there are plenty of photo sharing sites that are brilliant (I obviously use Flickr extensively now) and free or cheap, but nothing for files in general. Anyone have any thoughts or secret sources to do what I'm looking for? Thanks...

MyBloop.com - Nope...

Mybloop.com seemed to work great for small and simple files, but seems to be a bust for the larger files. Too bad, too. On to the next service...

MyBloop.com - Trying that first...

Right now it looks like MyBloop.com might be the (free) answer. I'm uploading the zip of the uncompressed VCF East 4.0 audio and I"ll see what happens. It seems a bit too-good-to-be-true, but so far, it seems to work. I'll start a new forum post (topic) once the file is uploaded and perhaps someone could try to download it and let me know how the process works. This would be a great way to share audio and miscellaneous files, not able to be covered by Flickr or YouTube...

It looks like I'll be giving these a try to see what might work best:

Not really looking for Torrent/P2P

No particular size. Just non-video or photo files, since those already have unlimited storage repositories now. That www.myotherdrive.com is great in theory, especially free, but it didn't work well for me in execution. Something like that, either free or pay, that works.

online storage

Hm, that's a tough one. How big are the files we're talking about? I know I've said this many times before (groan), but a torrent might work if it's a giant file that many people will be downloading. I've had a lot of luck with it, but somebody has to seed it and keep it seeded. Plus, it doesn't work nearly as well in low numbers. Of course, there's always the P2P apps, but they're so virus infested and generally slummy that I try to stay away from them.
