This looks like a pretty nifty kit, plus it's programmable: http://scientificsonline.com/product.asp?pn=3052995&bhcd2=1187275337

The sale is only while supplies last. I wish I could afford one at the moment, but sadly I can't...

Robot hobby...

I have quite a few Heath, Heathkit and Zenith computing products, but sadly, nothing from the HERO robot series. I track them on eBay since I'd love to have a working one with the programming options, but they always seem to go well out of my price range. Indeed, these fuller sized robots are sadly missed today, as the preference is on smaller, more nimble creations (the only robot stuff I have now is the original Lego Mindstorms kit - until I get going with that, I'm probably not going to expand into some of the more advanced stuff). In a related note, I finally ordered an iRobot iRoomba to do the cleaning for me... ;-)
