Nintendo DS and Opera Software

Have any of you been able to play back video on your DS with the Opera Browser? I've been trying and haven't had any luck at all. It's even hard to click on links for some reason. I realize the DS wasn't meant to be used this way, but they did charge me $30 dollars for the memory and software, hahaha. Also, I see on the Opera site that an upgrade is available. Do you think it could be downloaded to the DS and actually work?

Cheers

Indeed opera Mini is far more powerfull

Indeed Opera Mini is far more powerfull. It is Java based so porting it to the DS might prove difficult. I wonder how the Java VM capabilities of most modern phones compare to the processing power and memory of a Nintendo DS?

DS Browser

Thanks for the info Mark. The video came in handy too as I was wondering how to get the full screen on the bottom with the zoomed image up top. Guess you could figure out I don't read the manuals!! To me the browser is more of a novelty than actually being functional. It does come in handy to read email when you're out and about and in a pinch.

Nope doesn't support flash or multimedia

Nope, the DS Opera browser is by far the worst browser ever. Just look at the Opera Mini port on various phones, that is far superior.
The DS browser doesn't support any multimedia nor does it support flash.

An upgrade is available? I wonder how? Interesting though - if only they made it a little more like Opera Mini....

Here's a small video of a 'real world test' of the DS Browser
