I think we won't see much except perhaps for select third party or specifically licensed stuff for NES and SNES, cdoty. If you notice, the "8-bit" classification really means NES, as one of the versions of NES "Tetris" is the one and only game on there (and generally the second most played game on GameTap after "Sam and Max"). I suspect that the issue is Nintendo, as they, as usual, want to be the sole source of games for their system, particularly since a big Wii selling point is going to be the virtual console (though even if they didn't go with the virtual console, I'm sure they wouldn't allow it still). If we did see any SNES stuff, I bet it will be in the not yet created "16-bit" category. Rules are rules and legal action is legal action...
