I played Civ 1 and 2 years ago and was a must-have on trips away from home on the laptop. I never had any problems playing on all different Pentium x machines or on the cheesy laptop work issued to us that had integrated graphics.
In the past couple of years though I've gone to Empire Earth as the go-to during travel. Now that Civ IV is out I'll have to give it a try. Although, I'll have to check the minimum PC specs first as mine is not state-of-the-art.
