I first played Civ I when a friend showed me a copy on my birthday, then later played Civ II a good bit at a friend's house. I purchased Civ III while I was in college, since Civ IV wouldn't run on my old PC, and was kind of dissapointed they didn't change the gameplay too much; Civ IV has a lot of major changes to the interface and gameplay from what I understand.
This is a bit expensive for a compilation, although perhaps the inclusion of Civ IV and its expansion up the price a bit? The making of book sounds very interesting, though...
