The trailer is pretty funny...Cliche after painful cliche, and yet they blather on with the "story" for the better part of the trailer! Wonderful!
I'm a bit skeptical of this...While I love the M&M series, I'm not a fan of procedurally generated content. To me it's like the gaming equivalent of masturbation. Oh, look, there's a Wolfmaster's Iron Sword of Hit Rating. Woot! Once you figure out the mechanics of the system, you're not playing with a designer anymore--you're just playing with yourself!
I know this is blasphemy to the legions of hardcore fans of games like Daggerfall, but I'd much rather have a smallish game with really good direction than some "infinite danger" type thing where I'm fighting 9,999 robot death lords. The stories and characters in most RPG suck anyway, which I guess is a point in favor of something like this, but I'd take Baldur's Gate over Diablo any day of the week.
