Sounds like your internal

Sounds like your internal A500 Accelerator was possibly a Mega Midget Racer, which are difficult to find, but they were one of the best. The GVP Impact Series were SCSI sidecars with an expansion slot to allow for an 80286 pc card. Very nice card if you have it. As it does VGA and can emulate a Sound Blaster through the Amiga sound system. Be certain if he plans on continued use that he pulls the RTC battery before it leaks on his Chip RAM expansion. If it's the old barrel batteries those things are absolutely terrible in the damage they can do. I have seen some horrible corrosion on the A3000 motherboards that come in to the local shop that used to repair Amigas.

-Edit if you want to take a walk down memory lane check out www.bboah.com or amiga.resource.cx they have long lists with information about various amiga items released over the years.
