All this amiga talk had me hunting up info on my old expansion box.. GVP Impact.. (first one, the one that was huge and square, not the Impact II that was shaped like the 500) I see GVP is still in business (or it appears) as thier website is still going and it lists Amiga products, many of the links are dead, but some have info. Kinda neat to look it all up.. Nathaniel, you sure remeber more about um then i do, the floppy LED stuff rings a bell, so does the aftermarket drive issues.. been a LONG time sicne i dug into that stuff. can tell my memory is bad.. I thouhgt my accelerator was in the GVP.. but it was an IBM XT card i had (waste of money even back then).. the accelerator card was inside the 500.. wish i could remeber what it was.. Im sure it was a 68030 with 4 or 8 mb of ram onboard ( the GVP had 2 or 4 more... cant remeber now) a RACER? I know i picked the fastest.. and later wished i had picked the one with a HD connector (hence buying he the GVP later and doubling my price).. dang .. the money.. that amiga 500 was a $3000 computer when i was finished with it. Cool thing.. all tht stuff still works (as i said a buddy bought it all from me and we have had it fired up in the last year (maybe a littel longer)).
